10“1My beloved is dazzling and 2ruddy, 3 4Outstanding among ten thousand.11His head is like gold, pure gold; His 5locks are like clusters of dates And black as a raven.12His 6eyes are like doves Beside streams of water, Bathed in milk, And 7reposed in their 8setting.13His cheeks are like a 9bed of balsam, Banks of sweet-scented herbs; His lips are 10lilies 11Dripping with liquid myrrh.14His hands are rods of gold Set with 12beryl; His abdomen is carved ivory Inlaid with 13 14sapphires.15His legs are pillars of alabaster Set on pedestals of pure gold; His appearance is like 15Lebanon Choice as the 16cedars.16His 17 18mouth is full of sweetness. And he is wholly 19desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.”
