15Then Absalomוְאַבְשָׁל֗וֹםve.'av.sha.LomH53and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the peopleהָעָם֙ha.'AmH5971,the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,enteredבָּ֖אוּBa.'uH935Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִָ֑םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and Ahithophelוַאֲחִיתֹ֖פֶלva.'a.chi.To.felH302with him.

16Now it cameוַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961about whenH3512Hushaiחוּשַׁ֧יchu.ShaiH2365the Architeהָאַרְכִּ֛יha.'ar.KiH757,David’sדָוִ֖דda.VidH1732friendרֵעֶ֥הre.'EhH7463,cameבָּ֞אba'H935to Absalomאַבְשָׁל֑וֹם'av.sha.LomH53, thatHushaiחוּשַׁי֙chu.ShaiH2365saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Absalomאַבְשָׁלֹ֔ם'av.sha.LomH53, “Longliveיְחִ֥יye.ChiH2421the kingהַמֶּ֖לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428! Longliveיְחִ֥יye.ChiH2421the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428!”

17Absalomאַבְשָׁלוֹם֙'av.sha.lOmH53saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Hushaiחוּשַׁ֔יchu.ShaiH2365, “Is thisזֶ֥הzehH2088yourloyaltyחַסְדְּךָ֖chas.de.KhaH2617to your friendרֵעֶ֑ךָre.'E.khaH7453?Whyלָ֥מָּהLa.mahH4100did you not goהָלַ֖כְתָּha.Lakh.taH1980with your friendרֵעֶֽךָ׃re.'E.khaH7453?”

18Then Hushaiחוּשַׁי֮chu.ShaiH2365saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Absalomאַבְשָׁלֹם֒'av.sha.LomH53, “Noלֹ֕אlo'H3808!For whomאֲשֶׁ֨ר'a.SherH834the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068,thisהַזֶּ֖הha.ZehH2088peopleוְהָעָ֥םve.ha.'AmH5971,and allוְכָל־ve.kholH3605the menאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478have chosenבָּחַ֧רba.CharH977,his I will be, and with him I will remainאֵשֵֽׁב׃'e.ShevH3427.

19Besidesוְהַשֵּׁנִ֗יתve.ha.she.NitH8145,whomלְמִי֙le.MiH4310should I serveאֶֽעֱבֹ֔ד'e.'e.VodH5647? Should I not servein the presenceלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440of his sonבְנ֑וֹve.NoH1121?As I have servedעָבַ֙דְתִּי֙'a.Vad.tiH5647in your father’sאָבִ֔יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1presenceלִפְנֵ֣יlif.NeiH6440,soכֵּ֖ןkenH3651I will be in your presenceלְפָנֶֽיךָ׃ פli.fa.Nei.khaH6440.”

20Then Absalomאַבְשָׁל֖וֹם'av.sha.LomH53saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Ahithophelאֲחִיתֹ֑פֶל'a.chi.To.felH302, “Giveהָב֥וּha.VuH3051your adviceעֵצָ֖ה'e.TzahH6098.Whatמַֽה־mah-H4100shall we doנַּעֲשֶֽׂה׃na.'a.SehH6213?”

21Ahithophelאֲחִיתֹ֙פֶל֙'a.chi.To.felH302saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Absalomאַבְשָׁלֹ֔ם'av.sha.LomH53, “Goבּ֚וֹאBo'H935in to your father’sאָבִ֔יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1concubinesפִּלַגְשֵׁ֣יpi.lag.SheiH6370,whomאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834he has leftהִנִּ֖יחַhi.Ni.achH5117to keepלִשְׁמ֣וֹרlish.MorH8104the houseהַבָּ֑יִתha.Ba.yitH1004;then allכָּל־kol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478will hearוְשָׁמַ֤עve.sha.Ma'H8085that you have madeH887yourself odiousנִבְאַ֣שְׁתָּniv.'Ash.taH887to your fatherאָבִ֔יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1.The handsיְדֵ֖יye.DeiH3027of allכָּל־kol-H3605whoאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834are with you will also be strengthenedוְחָ֣זְק֔וּve.Cha.ze.KuH2388.”
