6Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֛הshe.lo.MohH8010didוַיַּ֧עַשׂvai.Ya.'asH6213whatH7451was evilH7451in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֣יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and did not followאַחֲרֵ֥י'a.cha.ReiH310the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068fullyמִלֵּ֛אmi.Le'H4390,as Davidכְּדָוִ֥דke.da.VidH1732his fatherאָבִֽיו׃ ס'a.VivH1had done.

9Nowthe Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068was angryוַיִּתְאַנַּ֥ףvai.yit.'a.NafH599with Solomonבִּשְׁלֹמֹ֑הbish.lo.MohH8010becauseכִּֽי־ki-H3588his heartלְבָב֗וֹle.va.VoH3824was turnedנָטָ֣הna.TahH5186awayH5186from the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֣י'e.lo.HeiH430of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,who had appearedהַנִּרְאָ֥הha.nir.'AhH7200to him twiceפַּעֲמָֽיִם׃pa.'a.Ma.yimH6471,
10andhad commandedוְצִוָּ֤הve.tzi.VahH6680him concerningעַל־'al-H5921thisהַזֶּ֔הha.ZehH2088thingהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697,that he should not goלֶ֔כֶתLe.khetH1980afterאַחֲרֵ֖י'a.cha.ReiH310otherאֲחֵרִ֑ים'a.che.RimH312godsאֱלֹהִ֣ים'E.lo.HimH430;but he did not observeשָׁמַ֔רsha.MarH8104whatאֲשֶׁר־'a.Sher-H834the Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֖הtzi.VahH6680.
11So the Lordיְהוָ֜הYah.wehH3068saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Solomonלִשְׁלֹמֹ֗הlish.lo.MohH8010, “Becauseיַ֚עַן אֲשֶׁ֣רYa.'an 'a.SherH3282H834you have doneהָֽיְתָה־ עִמָּ֔ךְha.ye.tah- 'i.MakhH1961H5973thisH2088,and you have not keptשָׁמַ֙רְתָּ֙sha.Mar.taH8104My covenantבְּרִיתִ֣יbe.ri.TiH1285and My statutesוְחֻקֹּתַ֔יve.chu.ko.TaiH2708,whichאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834I have commandedצִוִּ֖יתִיtzi.Vi.tiH6680you,I will surelyקָרֹ֨עַka.Ro.a'H7167tearאֶקְרַ֤ע'ek.Ra'H7167the kingdomהַמַּמְלָכָה֙ha.mam.la.KhahH4467from you, and will giveוּנְתַתִּ֖יהָu.ne.ta.Ti.haH5414it to your servantלְעַבְדֶּֽךָ׃le.'av.De.khaH5650.
