Isaiah 28:18-22

18Your 1covenant with death will be 23canceled, And your pact with Sheol will not stand; When the 4overwhelming scourge passes through, Then you become its 5trampling place.19As 6often as it passes through, it will 7seize you; For 8morning after morning it will pass through, anytime during the day or night, And it will be 9sheer 10terror to understand 11what it means.”20The bed is too short on which to stretch out, And the 12blanket is too 13small to wrap oneself in.21For the Lord will rise up as at Mount 14Perazim, He will be stirred up as in the valley of 15Gibeon, To do His 16task, His 1718unusual task, And to work His work, His 19extraordinary work.22And now do not carry on as 20scoffers, Or your fetters will be made stronger; For I have heard from the Lord 21God of hosts Of decisive 22destruction on all the earth.
