Hebrews 7:24-28

24but Jesus, on the other hand, because He continues 1forever, holds His priesthood permanently. 25Therefore He is able also to 2save 3forever those who 4draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to 5make intercession for them.

26For it was fitting for us to have such a 6high priest, 7holy, 8innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and 9exalted above the heavens; 27who does not need daily, like those high priests, to 10offer up sacrifices, 11first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did 12once for all when He 13offered up Himself. 28For the Law appoints men as high priests 14who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints 15a Son, 16made perfect forever.
