Hebrews 13:3-22
31Remember 2the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body. 43Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; 4for fornicators and adulterers God will judge. 5Make sure that your character is 5free from the love of money, 6being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “7I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,” 6so that we confidently say, “8The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”
7Remember 9those who led you, who spoke 10the word of God to you; and considering the 11result of their conduct, 12imitate their faith. 813Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. 914Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to 15be strengthened by grace, not by 16foods, 17through which those who 18were so occupied were not benefited. 10We have an altar 19from which those 20who serve the 21tabernacle have no right to eat. 11For 22the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside the camp. 12Therefore Jesus also, 23that He might sanctify the people 24through His own blood, suffered 25outside the gate. 13So, let us go out to Him outside the camp, 26bearing His reproach. 14For here 27we do not have a lasting city, but we are seeking 28the city which is to come. 1529Through Him then, let us continually offer up a 30sacrifice of praise to God, that is, 31the fruit of lips that 32give thanks to His name. 16And do not neglect doing good and 33sharing, for 34with such sacrifices God is pleased.
1735Obey your leaders and submit to them, for 36they keep watch over your souls as those who will give an account. 37Let them do this with joy and not 38with grief, for this would be unprofitable for you.
1839Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a 40good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things. 19And I urge you all the more to do this, 41so that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20Now 42the God of peace, who 43brought up from the dead the 44great Shepherd of the sheep 45through 46the blood of the 47eternal covenant, even Jesus our Lord, 2148equip you in every good thing to do His will, 49working in us that 50which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, 51to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
22But 52I urge you, 53brethren, 54bear with 55this 56word of exhortation, for 57I have written to you briefly.
