Hebrews 10:28-39

281Anyone who has set aside the Law of Moses dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 292How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve 3who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean 4the blood of the covenant 5by which he was sanctified, and has 6insulted the Spirit of grace? 30For we know Him who said, “7Vengeance is Mine, I will repay.” And again, “8The Lord will judge His people.” 31It is a 9terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the 10living God.

32But remember 11the former days, 12when, after being 13enlightened, you endured a great 14conflict of sufferings, 33partly by being 15made a public spectacle through reproaches and tribulations, and partly by becoming 16sharers with those who were so treated. 34For you 17showed sympathy to the prisoners and accepted 18joyfully the seizure of your property, knowing that you have for yourselves 19a better possession and a lasting one. 35Therefore, do not throw away your 20confidence, which has a great 21reward. 36For you have need of 22endurance, so that when you have 23done the will of God, you may 24receive 25what was promised.3726For yet in a very little while, 27He who is coming will come, and will not delay.3828But My righteous one shall live by faith; And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him. 39But 29we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the 30preserving of the soul.
