Genesis 1:9-30
9Then God said, “1Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let 2the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10God called the dry land earth, and the 3gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. 11Then God said, “Let the earth sprout 45vegetation, 6plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after 7their kind 8with seed in them”; and it was so. 12The earth brought forth 9vegetation, 10plants yielding seed after 11their kind, and trees bearing fruit 12with seed in them, after 13their kind; and God saw that it was good. 13There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
14Then God said, “Let there be 1415lights in the 1617expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night, and let them be for 18signs and for 19seasons and for days and years; 15and let them be for 20lights in the 21expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. 16God made the two 22great lights, the 23greater 24light 25to govern the day, and the lesser 26light 27to govern the night; He made 28the stars also. 1729God placed them in the 30expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18and 31to 32govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. 19There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
20Then God said, “Let the waters 33teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth 34in the open 35expanse of the heavens.” 21God created 36the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. 22God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” 23There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day.
2437Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after 38their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after 39their kind”; and it was so. 25God made the 40beasts of the earth after 41their kind, and the cattle after 42their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.
26Then God said, “Let 43Us make 44man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them 45rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the 46sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27God created man 47in His own image, in the image of God He created him; 48male and female He created them. 28God blessed them; and God said to them, “49Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the 50sky and over every living thing that 51moves on the earth.” 29Then God said, “Behold, 52I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the 53surface of all the earth, and every tree 54which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; 30and 55to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the 56sky and to every thing that 57moves on the earth 58which has life, I have given every green plant for food”; and it was so.
