Genesis 1:6-13
6Then God said, “Let there be 1an 2expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” 7God made the 3expanse, and separated 4the waters which were below the 5expanse from the waters 6which were above the 7expanse; and it was so. 8God called the 8expanse heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day.
9Then God said, “9Let the waters below the heavens be gathered into one place, and let 10the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10God called the dry land earth, and the 11gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good. 11Then God said, “Let the earth sprout 1213vegetation, 14plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after 15their kind 16with seed in them”; and it was so. 12The earth brought forth 17vegetation, 18plants yielding seed after 19their kind, and trees bearing fruit 20with seed in them, after 21their kind; and God saw that it was good. 13There was evening and there was morning, a third day.
