Ephesians 4:8-13
8Therefore 1it says, “2When He ascended on high, He 3led captive a host of captives, And He gave gifts to men.” 9(Now this expression, “He 4ascended,” what 5does it mean except that He also 6had descended into 7the lower parts of the earth? 10He who descended is Himself also He who ascended 8far above all the heavens, so that He might 9fill all things.) 11And He 10gave 11some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as 12evangelists, and some as pastors and 13teachers, 1214for the equipping of the 15saints for the work of service, to the building up of 16the body of Christ; 13until we all attain to 17the unity of the faith, and of the 1819knowledge of the Son of God, to a 20mature man, to the measure of the stature 21which belongs to the 22fullness of Christ.
