Ephesians 1:4-23
4just as 1He chose us in Him before 2the foundation of the world, that we would be 3holy and blameless before 4Him. 5In love 56He 7predestined us to 8adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, 9according to the 10kind intention of His will, 611to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in 12the Beloved. 713In 14Him we have 15redemption 16through His blood, the 17forgiveness of our trespasses, according to 18the riches of His grace 8which He 19lavished on 20us. In all wisdom and insight 9He 2122made known to us the mystery of His will, 23according to His 24kind intention which He 25purposed in Him 10with a view to an administration 26suitable to 27the fullness of the times, that is, 28the summing up of all things in Christ, things 29in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him 1130also we 3132have obtained an inheritance, having been 33predestined 34according to His purpose who works all things 35after the counsel of His will, 12to the end that we who were the first to hope in 36Christ would be 37to the praise of His glory. 13In 38Him, you also, after listening to 39the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also 40believed, you were 41sealed in 42Him with 43the Holy Spirit of promise, 14who is 4445given as a pledge of 46our inheritance, with a view to the 47redemption of 48God’s own possession, 49to the praise of His glory.
15For this reason I too, 50having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and 51your love for 52all the 53saints, 1654do not cease giving thanks for you, 55while making mention of you in my prayers; 17that the 56God of our Lord Jesus Christ, 57the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of 58wisdom and of 59revelation in the 60knowledge of Him. 18I pray that 61the eyes of your heart 62may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the 63hope of His 64calling, what are 65the riches of the glory of 66His inheritance in 67the 68saints, 19and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. 69These are in accordance with the working of the 70strength of His might 20which He brought about in Christ, when He 71raised Him from the dead and 72seated Him at His right hand in 73the heavenly places, 21far above 74all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every 75name that is named, not only in 76this age but also in the one to come. 22And He 77put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as 78head over all things to the church, 23which is His 79body, the 80fullness of Him who 81fills 82all in all.
