2 1Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 2Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in 3the heavenly places in Christ, 4just as 4He chose us in Him before 5the foundation of the world, that we would be 6holy and blameless before 7Him. 8In love 5 9He 10predestined us to 11adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, 12according to the 13kind intention of His will, 6 14to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in 15the Beloved. 7 16In 17Him we have 18redemption 19through His blood, the 20forgiveness of our trespasses, according to 21the riches of His grace
