Colossians 3:5-15
51Therefore 2consider 3the members of your earthly body as dead to 45immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which 6amounts to idolatry. 6For it is because of these things that 7the wrath of God will come 8upon the sons of disobedience, 7and 9in them you also once walked, when you were living 10in them. 8But now you also, 11put them all aside: 12anger, wrath, malice, slander, and 13abusive speech from your mouth. 91415Do not lie to one another, since you 16laid aside the old 17self with its evil practices, 10and have 18put on the new self who is being 1920renewed to a true knowledge 21according to the image of the One who 22created him-- 11a renewal in which 23there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, 24circumcised and uncircumcised, 2526barbarian, Scythian, 27slave and freeman, but 28Christ is all, and in all.
12So, as those who have been 29chosen of God, holy and beloved, 30put on a 31heart of compassion, kindness, 32humility, gentleness and 3334patience; 1335bearing with one another, and 36forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; 37just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14Beyond all these things put on love, which is 3839the perfect bond of 40unity. 15Let 41the peace of Christ 42rule in your hearts, to which 43indeed you were called in 44one body; and 45be thankful.
