Acts 18:18-28
18Paul, having remained many days longer, 1took leave of 2the brethren and put out to sea for 3Syria, and with him were 4Priscilla and 5Aquila. In 6Cenchrea 7he 8had his hair cut, for he was keeping a vow. 19They came to 9Ephesus, and he left them there. Now he himself entered 10the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews. 20When they asked him to stay for a longer time, he did not consent, 21but 11taking leave of them and saying, “I will return to you again 12if God wills,” he set sail from 13Ephesus.
22When he had landed at 14Caesarea, he went up and greeted the church, and went down to 15Antioch. 23And having spent some time there, he left and passed successively through the 16Galatian region and Phrygia, strengthening all the disciples.
24Now a Jew named 17Apollos, an 18Alexandrian by birth, 19an eloquent man, came to 20Ephesus; and he was mighty in the Scriptures. 25This man had been instructed in 21the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he was speaking and teaching accurately the things concerning Jesus, being acquainted only with 22the baptism of John; 26and 23he began to speak out boldly in the synagogue. But when 24Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him aside and explained to him 25the way of God more accurately. 27And when he wanted to go across to 26Achaia, 27the brethren encouraged him and wrote to 28the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly 29helped those who had believed through grace, 28for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, demonstrating 30by the Scriptures that 31Jesus was the 32Christ.
