2 Timothy 3:8-15

8Just as 1Jannes and Jambres 2opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, 3men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. 9But they will not make further progress; for their 4folly will be obvious to all, just 5as 6Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also.

10Now you 7followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, 8love, 9perseverance, 11 10persecutions, and 11sufferings, such as happened to me at 12Antioch, at 13Iconium and at 14Lystra; what 15persecutions I endured, and out of them all 16the Lord rescued me! 12Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus 17will be persecuted. 13But evil men and impostors 18will proceed from bad to worse, 19deceiving and being deceived. 14You, however, 20continue in the things you have learned and become convinced of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15and that 21from childhood you have known 22the sacred writings which are able to 23give you the wisdom that leads to 24salvation through faith which is in 25Christ Jesus.
