Corinthians 8:16-24

But 1thanks be to God who 2puts the same earnestness on your behalf in the heart of 3Titus.

For he not only accepted our 4appeal, but being himself very earnest, he has gone to you of his own accord.

We have sent along with him 5the brother whose fame in the things of the 6gospel has spread through 7all the churches;

8and not only this, but he has also been 9appointed by the churches to travel with us in 10this gracious work, which is being administered by us for the glory of the Lord Himself, and to show our 11readiness,

12taking precaution so that no one will discredit us in our administration of this generous gift;

for we 13have regard for what is honorable, not only in 14the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

We have sent with them our brother, whom we have often tested and found diligent in many things, but now even more diligent because of his great confidence in you.

As for 15Titus, he is my 16partner and fellow worker 17among you; as for our 18brethren, they are 19 20messengers of the churches, 21a glory to Christ.

Therefore 22openly before the churches, 23show them the proof of your love and of our 24reason for boasting about you.
