2 Corinthians 6

Their Ministry Commended

1And 1working together with Him, 2we also urge you not to receive 3the grace of God in vain-- 2for He says, “4At the acceptable time I listened to you, And on the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is “the acceptable time,” behold, now is “the day of salvation”-- 35giving no cause for offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited, 4but in everything 6commending ourselves as 78servants of God, 9in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distresses, 5in 10beatings, in imprisonments, in 11tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in 12hunger, 6in purity, in 13knowledge, in 14patience, in kindness, in the 15Holy Spirit, in 16genuine love, 7in 17the word of truth, in 18the power of God; by 19the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and the left, 8by glory and 20dishonor, by 21evil report and good report; regarded as 22deceivers and yet 23true; 9as unknown 24yet well-known, as 25dying 26yet behold, 27we live; as 28punished 29yet not put to death, 10as 30sorrowful yet always 31rejoicing, as 32poor yet making many rich, as 33having nothing 34yet possessing 35all things.

1136Our mouth 37has spoken freely to you, O Corinthians, our 38heart is opened wide. 12You are not restrained 39by us, but 40you are restrained in your own 41affections. 13Now in a like 42exchange--I speak as to 43children--open wide to us also.

1444Do not be 45bound together with 46unbelievers; for what 47partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15Or what 48harmony has Christ with 49Belial, or 50what has a 51believer in common with an 52unbeliever? 16Or 53what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are 54the temple of 55the living God; just as God said, “56I will 57dwell in them and 58walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.1759Therefore, 60come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.1861And I will be a father to you, And you shall be 62sons and daughters to Me,” Says the Lord Almighty.
