2 Corinthians 1:11-24

11you also joining in 1helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by 2many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many.

12For our 3proud confidence is this: the testimony of 4our conscience, that in holiness and 5godly sincerity, 6not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you. 13For we write nothing else to you than what you read and understand, and I hope you will understand 7until the end; 14just as you also partially did understand us, that we are your reason to be proud as you also are ours, in 8the day of our Lord Jesus.

15In this confidence I intended at first to 9come to you, so that you might 10twice receive a 11 12blessing; 16 13that is, to 14pass 15your way into 16Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and by you to be 17helped on my journey to Judea. 17Therefore, I was not vacillating when I intended to do this, was I? Or what I purpose, do I purpose 18according to the flesh, so that with me there will be yes, yes and no, no at the same time? 18But as 19God is faithful, 20our word to you is not yes and no. 19For 21the Son of God, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us--by me and 22Silvanus and 23Timothy--was not yes and no, but is yes 24in Him. 20For 25as many as are the promises of God, 26in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is 27our Amen to the glory of God through us. 21Now He who 28establishes us with you in Christ and 29anointed us is God, 22who also 30sealed us and 31gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a 32pledge.

23But 33I call God as witness 34to my soul, that 35to spare you I did not come again to 36Corinth. 24Not that we 37lord it over your faith, but are workers with you for your joy; for in your faith you are 38standing firm.
