1 Timothy 1:1-4

1Paul, 1an apostle of 2Christ Jesus 3according to the commandment of 4God our Savior, and of 5Christ Jesus, who is our 6hope,

2To 7Timothy, 8my true child in the faith: 9Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and 10Christ Jesus our Lord.

3As I urged you 11upon my departure for 12Macedonia, 13remain on at 14Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to 15teach strange doctrines, 4nor to 16pay attention to 17myths and endless 18genealogies, which give rise to mere 19speculation rather than 20furthering 21the administration of God which is by faith.
