New American Standard Bible 1995
1 Peter 5:6-9
6Therefore 1humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,
7casting all your 2anxiety on Him, because He cares for you.
83Be of sober spirit, 4be on the alert. Your adversary, 5the devil, prowls around like a roaring 6lion, seeking someone to devour.
978But resist him, 9firm in your faith, knowing that 10the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your 11brethren who are in the world.
