1 Peter 4:9-19

91Be hospitable to one another without 2complaint. 103As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good 4stewards of the manifold grace of God. 115Whoever speaks, is to do so 6as one who is speaking the 7utterances of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving 89by the strength which God supplies; so that 10in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, 11to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1212Beloved, do not be surprised at the 13fiery ordeal among you, which comes upon you for your testing, as though some strange thing were happening to you; 13but to the degree that you 14share the sufferings of Christ, keep on rejoicing, so that also at the 15revelation of His glory 16you may rejoice with exultation. 14If you are reviled 1718for the name of Christ, 19you are blessed, 20because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15Make sure that 21none of you suffers as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a 2223troublesome meddler; 16but if anyone suffers as a 24Christian, he is not to be ashamed, but is to 25glorify God in this name. 17For it is time for judgment 26to begin 27with 28the household of God; and if it 29begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those 30who do not obey the 31gospel of God? 1832And if it is with difficulty that the righteous is saved, 33what will become of the 34godless man and the sinner? 19Therefore, those also who suffer according to 35the will of God shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.
