New American Standard Bible 1995
1 Kings 15:3-5
3He walked in all the sins of his father which he had committed before him; and 1his heart was not 2wholly devoted to the Lord his God, like the heart of his father David.
4But for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a 3lamp in Jerusalem, to raise up his son after him and to establish Jerusalem;
54because David did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and had not turned aside from anything that He commanded him all the days of his life, 5except in the case of Uriah the Hittite.
