3He that killethשׁוֹחֵ֨טsho.ChetH7819an oxהַשּׁ֜וֹרha.ShorH7794is as ifhe slewמַכֵּה־ma.keh-H5221a manאִ֗ישׁ'IshH376;he that sacrificethזוֹבֵ֤חַzo.Ve.achH2076a lambהַשֶּׂה֙ha.SehH7716, as ifhe cut offH6202a dog’sכֶּ֔לֶבKe.levH3611neckעֹ֣רֵֽף'O.refH6202;he that offerethמַעֲלֵ֤הma.'a.LehH5927an oblationמִנְחָה֙min.ChahH4503, as if he offeredswine’sחֲזִ֔ירcha.ZirH2386bloodדַּם־dam-H1818;he that burnethמַזְכִּ֥ירmaz.KirH2142incenseלְבֹנָ֖הle.vo.NahH3828, as ifhe blessedמְבָ֣רֵֽךְme.Va.rekhH1288an idolאָ֑וֶן'A.venH205.Yea, they have chosenבָּֽחֲרוּ֙ba.cha.RuH977their own waysבְּדַרְכֵיהֶ֔םbe.dar.khei.HemH1870,and their soulנַפְשָׁ֥םnaf.ShamH5315delightethחָפֵֽצָה׃cha.Fe.tzahH2654in their abominationsוּבְשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖םu.ve.shi.ku.tzei.HemH8251.

4I also will chooseאֶבְחַ֣ר'ev.CharH977their delusionsבְּתַעֲלֻלֵיהֶ֗םbe.ta.'a.lu.lei.HemH8586,and will bringאָבִ֣יא'a.Vi'H935their fearsוּמְגֽוּרֹתָם֙u.me.gu.ro.TamH4035upon them; because when I calledקָרָ֙אתִי֙ka.Ra.tiH7121,none did answerעוֹנֶ֔הo.NehH6030;when I spakeדִּבַּ֖רְתִּיdi.Bar.tiH1696,they did not hearשָׁמֵ֑עוּsha.Me.'uH8085:but they didוַיַּעֲשׂ֤וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213evilהָרַע֙ha.Ra'H7451before mine eyesבְּעֵינַ֔יbe.'ei.NaiH5869,and choseבָּחָֽרוּ׃ סba.Cha.ruH977thatin which I delightedחָפַ֖צְתִּיcha.Fatz.tiH2654not.

5Hearשִׁמְעוּ֙shim.'UH8085the wordדְּבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,ye that trembleהַחֲרֵדִ֖יםha.cha.re.DimH2730at his wordדְּבָר֑וֹde.va.RoH1697;Your brethrenאֲחֵיכֶ֨ם'a.chei.KhemH251that hatedשֹׂנְאֵיכֶ֜םso.ne.'ei.KhemH8130you, that cast you outמְנַדֵּיכֶ֗םme.na.dei.KhemH5077for my name’sשְׁמִי֙she.MiH8034sake, saidאָמְרוּ֩'a.me.RuH559,Let the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068be glorifiedיִכְבַּ֣דyikh.BadH3513:but he shall appearוְנִרְאֶ֥הve.nir.'EhH7200to your joyבְשִׂמְחַתְכֶ֖םve.sim.chat.KhemH8057,and they shall be ashamedיֵבֹֽשׁוּ׃ye.Vo.shuH954.

6A voiceק֤וֹלKolH6963of noiseשָׁאוֹן֙sha.'OnH7588from the cityמֵעִ֔ירme.'IrH5892,a voiceק֖וֹלKolH6963from the templeמֵֽהֵיכָ֑לme.hei.KhalH1964,a voiceק֣וֹלKolH6963of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068that renderethמְשַׁלֵּ֥םme.sha.LemH7999recompenceגְּמ֖וּלge.MulH1576to his enemiesלְאֹיְבָֽיו׃le.'o.ye.VavH341.

7Before she travailedתָּחִ֖ילta.ChilH2342,she brought forthיָלָ֑דָהya.La.dahH3205;before her painחֵ֛בֶלChe.velH2256cameיָב֥וֹאya.Vo'H935,she was deliveredוְהִמְלִ֥יטָהve.him.Li.tahH4422of a man childזָכָֽר׃za.KharH2145.

8Who hath heardשָׁמַ֣עsha.Ma'H8085such a thing? who hath seenרָאָה֙ra.'AhH7200such things? Shall the earthאֶ֙רֶץ֙'e.retzH776be made to bring forthהֲי֤וּחַלha.Yu.chalH2342in oneH259dayבְּי֣וֹםbe.YomH3117? orshall a nationגּ֖וֹיGoyH1471be bornיִוָּ֥לֵֽדyi.Va.ledH3205at onceפַּ֣עַםPa.'amH6471?for as soon asגַּם־gam-H1571Zionצִיּ֖וֹןtzi.YonH6726travailedחָ֛לָהCha.lahH2342,she brought forthיָלְדָ֥הYal.dahH3205her childrenבָּנֶֽיהָ׃ba.Nei.haH1121.

9Shall I bring to the birthאַשְׁבִּ֛יר'ash.BirH7665,and not cause to bring forthאוֹלִ֖יד'o.LidH3205?saithיֹאמַ֣רyo.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068:shall IH589cause to bring forthהַמּוֹלִ֛ידha.mo.LidH3205,and shutוְעָצַ֖רְתִּיve.'a.Tzar.tiH6113the womb?saithאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559thy Godאֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃ ס'e.lo.Ha.yikhH430.

10Rejoiceשִׂמְח֧וּsim.ChuH8055ye with Jerusalemיְרוּשָׁלִַ֛םye.ru.sha.LimH3389,and be gladוְגִ֥ילוּve.Gi.luH1523with her, all ye that loveאֹהֲבֶ֑יהָ'o.ha.Vei.haH157her: rejoiceשִׂ֤ישׂוּSi.suH7797for joyמָשׂ֔וֹשׂma.SosH4885with her, all ye that mournהַמִּֽתְאַבְּלִ֖יםha.mit.'a.be.LimH56for her:

11That ye may suckתִּֽינְקוּ֙ti.ne.KuH3243,and be satisfiedוּשְׂבַעְתֶּ֔םu.se.va'.TemH7646with the breastsמִשֹּׁ֖דmi.ShodH7699of her consolationsתַּנְחֻמֶ֑יהָtan.chu.Mei.haH8575;that ye may milk outתָּמֹ֛צּוּta.Mo.tzuH4711,and be delightedוְהִתְעַנַּגְתֶּ֖םve.hit.'a.nag.TemH6026with the abundanceמִזִּ֥יזmi.ZizH2123of her gloryכְּבוֹדָֽהּ׃ סke.vo.DahH3519.

12For thus saithאָמַ֣ר'a.MarH559the Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068,Behold, I will extendנֹטֶֽה־no.teh-H5186peaceשָׁל֜וֹםsha.LomH7965to her like a riverכְּנָהָ֨רke.na.HarH5104,and the gloryכְּב֥וֹדke.VodH3519of the Gentilesגּוֹיִ֖םgo.YimH1471like a flowingשׁוֹטֵ֛ףsho.TefH7857streamוּכְנַ֧חַלu.khe.Na.chalH5158:then shall ye suckוִֽינַקְתֶּ֑םvi.nak.TemH3243,ye shall be borneתִּנָּשֵׂ֔אוּti.na.Se.'uH5375upon hersidesצַד֙tzadH6654,and be dandledתְּשָׁעֳשָֽׁעוּ׃te.sho.'o.Sha.'uH8173upon herkneesבִּרְכַּ֖יִםbir.Ka.yimH1290.

13As oneכְּאִ֕ישׁke.'IshH376whom his motherאִמּ֖וֹ'i.MoH517comfortethתְּנַחֲמֶ֑נּוּte.na.cha.Me.nuH5162,so will I comfortאֲנַ֣חֶמְכֶ֔ם'a.Na.chem.KhemH5162you; and ye shall be comfortedתְּנֻחָֽמוּ׃te.nu.Cha.muH5162in Jerusalemוּבִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖םu.vi.ru.sha.LimH3389.

14And when ye seeוּרְאִיתֶם֙u.re.'i.TemH7200this,your heartלִבְּכֶ֔םli.be.KhemH3820shall rejoiceוְשָׂ֣שׂve.SasH7797,and your bonesוְעַצְמוֹתֵיכֶ֖םve.'atz.mo.tei.KhemH6106shall flourishתִפְרַ֑חְנָהtif.Rach.nahH6524like an herbכַּדֶּ֣שֶׁאka.De.she'H1877:and the handיַד־yad-H3027of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068shall be knownוְנוֹדְעָ֤הve.nod.'AhH3045toward his servantsעֲבָדָ֔יו'a.va.DavH5650, and hisindignationוְזָעַ֖םve.za.'AmH2194toward his enemiesאֹיְבָֽיו׃'o.ye.VavH341.

15For, behold, the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will comeיָב֔וֹאya.Vo'H935with fireבָּאֵ֣שׁba.'EshH784,and with his chariotsמַרְכְּבֹתָ֑יוmar.ke.vo.TavH4818like a whirlwindוְכַסּוּפָ֖הve.kha.su.FahH5492,to renderלְהָשִׁ֤יבle.ha.ShivH7725his angerאַפּ֔וֹ'a.PoH639with furyבְּחֵמָה֙be.che.MahH2534,and his rebukeוְגַעֲרָת֖וֹve.ga.'a.ra.ToH1606with flamesבְּלַהֲבֵי־be.la.ha.vei-H3851of fireאֵֽשׁ׃'EshH784.

16For by fireבָאֵשׁ֙va.'EshH784and by his swordוּבְחַרְבּ֖וֹu.ve.char.BoH2719will the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068pleadנִשְׁפָּ֔טnish.PatH8199with all fleshבָּשָׂ֑רba.SarH1320:and the slainחַֽלְלֵ֥יcha.LeiH2491of the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068shall be manyוְרַבּ֖וּve.ra.BuH7231.

17They that sanctifyהַמִּתְקַדְּשִׁ֨יםha.mit.ka.de.ShimH6942themselves, and purifyוְהַמִּֽטַּהֲרִ֜יםve.ha.mi.ta.ha.RimH2891themselves in the gardensהַגַּנּ֗וֹתha.ga.NotH1593behindאַחַ֤ר'a.CharH310oneאַחַת֙'e.chadH259treein the midstבַּתָּ֔וֶךְba.Ta.vekhH8432,eatingאֹֽכְלֵי֙'o.khe.LeiH398swine’sהַחֲזִ֔ירha.cha.ZirH2386fleshבְּשַׂ֣רbe.SarH1320,and the abominationוְהַשֶּׁ֖קֶץve.ha.She.ketzH8263,and the mouseוְהָעַכְבָּ֑רve.ha.'akh.BarH5909,shall be consumedיָסֻ֖פוּya.Su.fuH5486togetherיַחְדָּ֥וyach.DavH3162,saithנְאֻם־ne.'um-H5002the Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.
