Ezekiel 35

1Moreover the wordדְבַר־de.var-H1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068came unto me, sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

2Sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of manאָדָ֕ם'a.DamH120,setשִׂ֥יםsimH7760thy faceפָּנֶ֖יךָpa.Nei.khaH6440against mountהַ֣רharH2022Seirשֵׂעִ֑ירse.'IrH8165,and prophesyוְהִנָּבֵ֖אve.hi.na.Ve'H5012against it,

3And sayוְאָמַ֣רְתָּve.'a.Mar.taH559unto it, Thus saithאָמַר֙'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069;Behold, O mountהַר־har-H2022Seirשֵׂעִ֑ירse.'IrH8165, I amagainst thee, and I will stretch outוְנָטִ֤יתִיve.na.Ti.tiH5186mine handיָדִי֙ya.DiH3027against thee, and I will makeוּנְתַתִּ֖יךָu.ne.ta.Ti.khaH5414thee mostוּמְשַׁמָּֽה׃u.me.sha.MahH4923desolateשְׁמָמָ֥הshe.ma.MahH8077.

4I will layאָשִׂ֔ים'a.SimH7760thy citiesעָרֶ֙יךָ֙'a.Rei.khaH5892wasteחָרְבָּ֣הcha.re.BahH2723,and thou shalt be desolateשְׁמָמָ֣הshe.ma.MahH8077,and thou shalt knowוְיָדַעְתָּ֖ve.ya.da'.TaH3045that I amthe Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

5Because thou hast had a perpetualעוֹלָ֔םo.LamH5769hatredאֵיבַ֣ת'ei.VatH342,and hast shedוַתַּגֵּ֥רva.ta.GerH5064the blood ofthe childrenבְּנֵֽי־be.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478by the forceיְדֵי־ye.dei-H3027of the swordחָ֑רֶבCha.revH2719in the timeבְּעֵ֣תbe.'EtH6256of their calamityאֵידָ֔ם'ei.DamH343,in the timeבְּעֵ֖תbe.'EtH6256that theiriniquityעֲוֹ֥ן'a.VonH5771hadan endקֵֽץ׃KetzH7093:

6Therefore, asI liveחַי־chai-H2416,saithנְאֻם֙ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֔הYah.wehH3069,I will prepareאֶעֶשְׂךָ֖'e.'es.KhaH6213thee unto bloodלְדָ֥םle.DamH1818,and bloodוְדָ֣םve.DamH1818shall pursueיִרְדֲּפֶ֑ךָyir.da.Fe.khaH7291thee: sithאִם־'im-H518thou hast not hatedשָׂנֵ֖אתָsa.Ne.taH8130bloodדָ֛םdamH1818,even bloodוְדָ֥םve.DamH1818shall pursueיִרְדֲּפֶֽךָ׃yir.da.Fe.khaH7291thee.

7Thus will I makeוְנָֽתַתִּי֙ve.na.ta.TiH5414mountהַ֣רharH2022Seirשֵׂעִ֔ירse.'IrH8165mostלְשִֽׁמְמָ֖הle.shi.MahH8077desolateוּשְׁמָמָ֑הu.she.ma.MahH8077,and cut offוְהִכְרַתִּ֥יve.hikh.ra.TiH3772from it him that passeth outעֹבֵ֥ר'o.VerH5674and him that returnethוָשָֽׁב׃va.ShavH7725.

8And I will fillוּמִלֵּאתִ֥יu.mi.le.TiH4390his mountainsהָרָ֖יוha.RavH2022with his slainחֲלָלָ֑יוcha.la.LavH2491men:in thy hillsגִּבְעוֹתֶ֤יךָgiv.'o.Tei.khaH1389,and in thy valleysוְגֵאוֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ve.ge.'o.Tei.khaH1516,and in all thy riversאֲפִיקֶ֔יךָ'a.fi.Kei.chaH650,shall they fallיִפְּל֥וּyi.pe.LuH5307that are slainחַלְלֵי־cha.lei-H2491with the swordחֶ֖רֶבChe.revH2719.

9I will makeאֶתֶּנְךָ֔'e.ten.KhaH5414thee perpetualעוֹלָם֙o.LamH5769desolationsשִֽׁמְמ֤וֹתshi.MotH8077,and thy citiesוְעָרֶ֖יךָve.'a.Rei.khaH5892shall not returnתָשֹׁ֑בְנָהtei.shav.nahH3427 H7725:and ye shall knowוִֽידַעְתֶּ֖םvi.da'.TemH3045that I amthe Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

10Because thou hast saidאֲ֠מָרְךָ'A.ma.re.khaH559,These twoשְׁנֵ֨יshe.NeiH8147nationsהַגּוֹיִ֜םha.go.YimH1471and these twoשְׁתֵּ֧יshe.TeiH8147countriesהָאֲרָצ֛וֹתha.'a.ra.TzotH776shall be mine, and we will possessוִֽירַשְׁנ֑וּהָvi.rash.Nu.haH3423it; whereas the Lordוַֽיהוָ֖הva.Yah.wehH3068was there:

11Therefore, asI liveחַי־chai-H2416,saithנְאֻם֮ne.'UmH5002the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִה֒Yah.wehH3069,I will even doוְעָשִׂ֗יתִיve.'a.Si.tiH6213according to thine angerכְּאַפְּךָ֙ke.'a.pe.KhaH639,and according to thine envyוּכְקִנְאָ֣תְךָ֔u.khe.kin.'A.te.khaH7068which thou hast usedעָשִׂ֔יתָה'a.Si.tahH6213out of thy hatredמִשִּׂנְאָתֶ֖יךָmi.sin.'a.Tei.khaH8135against them; and I will make myself knownוְנוֹדַ֥עְתִּיve.no.Da'.tiH3045among them, when I have judgedאֶשְׁפְּטֶֽךָ׃'esh.pe.Te.khaH8199thee.

12And thou shalt knowוְֽיָדַעְתָּ֮ve.ya.da'.TaH3045that I amthe Lordיְהוָה֒Yah.wehH3068, and thatI have heardשָׁמַ֣עְתִּי׀sha.Ma'.tiH8085all thy blasphemiesנָאָֽצוֹתֶ֗יךָna.'a.tzo.Tei.khaH5007which thou hast spokenאָמַ֛רְתָּ'a.Mar.taH559against the mountainsהָרֵ֥יha.ReiH2022of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,sayingלֵאמֹ֣ר׀le.MorH559,They are laid desolateשָׁמֵ֑מוּsha.Me.muH8077 H8074,they are givenנִתְּנ֖וּni.te.NuH5414us to consumeלְאָכְלָֽה׃le.'okh.LahH402.

13Thus with your mouthבְּפִיכֶ֔םbe.fi.KhemH6310ye have boastedוַתַּגְדִּ֤ילוּva.tag.Di.luH1431against me, and have multipliedוְהַעְתַּרְתֶּ֥םve.ha'.tar.TemH6280your wordsדִּבְרֵיכֶ֑םdiv.rei.KhemH1697against me: I have heardשָׁמָֽעְתִּי׃ סsha.Ma.'e.tiH8085them.

14Thus saithאָמַ֖ר'a.MarH559the Lordאֲדֹנָ֣י'a.do.NaiH136Godיְהוִ֑הYah.wehH3069;When the whole earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776rejoicethכִּשְׂמֹ֙חַ֙kis.Mo.achH8055,I will makeאֶעֱשֶׂה־'e.'e.seh-H6213thee desolateשְׁמָמָ֖הshe.ma.MahH8077.

15As thou didst rejoiceכְּשִׂמְחָ֨תְךָ֜ke.sim.Cha.te.khaH8057at the inheritanceלְנַחְלַ֧תle.nach.LatH5159of the houseבֵּֽית־beit-H1004of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֛לYis.ra.'ElH3478,because it was desolateשָׁמֵ֖מָהsha.Me.mahH8074,so will I doאֶעֱשֶׂה־'e.'e.seh-H6213unto thee: thou shalt be desolateשְׁמָמָ֨הshe.ma.MahH8077,O mountהַר־har-H2022Seirשֵׂעִיר֙se.'IrH8165,and all Idumeaאֱד֣וֹם'e.DomH123, evenall of it: and they shall knowוְיָדְע֖וּve.ya.de.'UH3045that I amthe Lordיְהוָֽה׃ פYah.wehH3068.
