12For I will passוְעָבַרְתִּ֣יve.'a.var.TiH5674through the landבְאֶֽרֶץ־ve.'e.retz-H776of Egyptמִצְרַיִם֮mitz.ra.YimH4714this nightבַּלַּ֣יְלָהba.Lay.lahH3915,and will smiteוְהִכֵּיתִ֤יve.hi.kei.TiH5221all the firstbornבְּכוֹר֙be.khOrH1060in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,both manמֵאָדָ֖םme.'a.DamH120and beastבְּהֵמָ֑הbe.he.MahH929;and against all the godsאֱלֹהֵ֥י'e.lo.HeiH430of Egyptמִצְרַ֛יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714I will executeאֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה'e.'e.SehH6213judgmentשְׁפָטִ֖יםshe.fa.TimH8201: I amthe Lordיְהוָֽה׃Yah.wehH3068.

21Then Mosesמֹשֶׁ֛הmo.ShehH4872calledוַיִּקְרָ֥אvai.yik.Ra'H7121for all the eldersזִקְנֵ֥יzik.NeiH2205of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Draw outמִֽשְׁכ֗וּmish.KhuH4900and takeוּקְח֨וּu.ke.ChuH3947you a lambצֹ֛אןtzonH6629according to your familiesלְמִשְׁפְּחֹתֵיכֶ֖םle.mish.pe.cho.tei.KhemH4940,and killוְשַׁחֲט֥וּve.sha.cha.TuH7819the passoverהַפָּֽסַח׃ha.Pa.sachH6453.

22And ye shall takeוּלְקַחְתֶּ֞םu.le.kach.TemH3947a bunchאֲגֻדַּ֣ת'a.gu.DatH92of hyssopאֵז֗וֹב'e.ZovH231,and dipוּטְבַלְתֶּם֮u.te.val.TemH2881itin the bloodבַּדָּ֣םba.DamH1818that isin the basonבַּסַּף֒ba.SafH5592,and strikeוְהִגַּעְתֶּ֤םve.hi.ga'.TemH5060the lintelהַמַּשְׁקוֹף֙ha.mash.kOfH4947and the twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147side postsהַמְּזוּזֹ֔תha.me.zu.ZotH4201with the bloodהַדָּ֖םha.DamH1818that isin the basonבַּסָּ֑ףba.SafH5592;and noneאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376of you shall go outתֵצְא֛וּte.tze.'UH3318at the doorמִפֶּֽתַח־mi.pe.tach-H6607of his houseבֵּית֖וֹbei.ToH1004until the morningבֹּֽקֶר׃Bo.kerH1242.

23For the Lordיְהוָה֮Yah.wehH3068will pass throughוְעָבַ֣רve.'a.VarH5674to smiteלִנְגֹּ֣ףlin.GofH5062the Egyptiansמִצְרַיִם֒mitz.ra.YimH4714;and when he seethוְרָאָ֤הve.ra.'AhH7200the bloodהַדָּם֙ha.DamH1818upon the lintelהַמַּשְׁק֔וֹףha.mash.KofH4947,and on the twoשְׁתֵּ֣יshe.TeiH8147side postsהַמְּזוּזֹ֑תha.me.zu.ZotH4201,the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068will pass overוּפָסַ֤חu.fa.SachH6452the doorהַפֶּ֔תַחha.Pe.tachH6607,and will not sufferיִתֵּן֙yi.TenH5414the destroyerהַמַּשְׁחִ֔יתha.mash.ChitH7843to comeלָבֹ֥אla.Vo'H935in unto your housesבָּתֵּיכֶ֖םba.tei.KhemH1004to smiteלִנְגֹּֽף׃lin.GofH5062you.

24And ye shall observeוּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םu.she.mar.TemH8104this thingהַדָּבָ֣רha.da.VarH1697for an ordinanceלְחָק־le.chok-H2706to thee and to thy sonsוּלְבָנֶ֖יךָu.le.va.Nei.khaH1121forעַד־'ad-H5704everעוֹלָֽם׃o.LamH5769.

25And it shall come to pass, when ye be comeתָבֹ֣אוּta.Vo.'uH935to the landהָאָ֗רֶץha.'A.retzH776which the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068will giveיִתֵּ֧ןyi.TenH5414you, according as he hath promisedדִּבֵּ֑רdi.BerH1696,that ye shall keepוּשְׁמַרְתֶּ֖םu.she.mar.TemH8104this serviceהָעֲבֹדָ֥הha.'a.vo.DahH5656.

26And it shall come to pass, when your childrenבְּנֵיכֶ֑םbe.nei.KhemH1121shall sayיֹאמְר֥וּyo.me.RuH559unto you, What mean ye by this serviceהָעֲבֹדָ֥הha.'a.vo.DahH5656?

27That ye shall sayוַאֲמַרְתֶּ֡םva.'a.mar.TemH559, It isthe sacrificeזֶֽבַח־ze.vach-H2077of the Lord’sלַֽיהוָ֗הla.Yah.wehH3068passoverפֶּ֨סַחPe.sachH6453,who passedפָּ֠סַחPa.sachH6452over the housesבָּתֵּ֤יba.TeiH1004of the childrenבְנֵֽי־ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל֙Yis.ra.'ElH3478in Egyptבְּמִצְרַ֔יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,when he smoteבְּנָגְפּ֥וֹbe.na.ge.PoH5062the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,and deliveredהִצִּ֑ילhi.TzilH5337our housesבָּתֵּ֣ינוּba.Tei.nuH1004.And the peopleהָעָ֖םha.'AmH5971bowed the headוַיִּקֹּ֥דvai.yi.KodH6915and worshippedוַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוּֽוּ׃vai.Yish.ta.cha.VuH7812.

28And the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478went awayH3212,and didוַיַּֽעֲשׂ֖וּvai.ya.'a.SuH6213as the Lordיְהוָ֛הYah.wehH3068had commandedצִוָּ֧הtzi.VahH6680Mosesמֹשֶׁ֥הmo.ShehH4872and Aaronוְאַהֲרֹ֖ןve.'a.ha.RonH175,so didעָשֽׂוּ׃ ס'a.SuH6213they.

29And it came to pass, that at midnightבַּחֲצִ֣י הַלַּ֗יְלָהba.cha.Tzi ha.Lay.lahH3915 H2677the Lordוַֽיהוָה֮va.Yah.wehH3068smoteהִכָּ֣הhi.KahH5221all the firstbornבְּכוֹר֮be.khOrH1060in the landבְּאֶ֣רֶץbe.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרַיִם֒mitz.ra.YimH4714,from the firstbornמִבְּכֹ֤רmi.be.KhorH1060of Pharaohפַּרְעֹה֙par.'OhH6547that satהַיֹּשֵׁ֣בhai.yo.ShevH3427on his throneכִּסְא֔וֹkis.'OH3678unto the firstbornבְּכ֣וֹרbe.KhorH1060of the captiveהַשְּׁבִ֔יha.she.ViH7628that wasin the dungeonבְּבֵ֣ית הַבּ֑וֹרbe.Veit ha.BorH953 H1004;and all the firstbornבְּכ֥וֹרbe.KhorH1060of cattleבְּהֵמָֽה׃be.he.MahH929.

30And Pharaohפַּרְעֹ֜הpar.'OhH6547rose upוַיָּ֨קָםvai.Ya.komH6965in the nightלַ֗יְלָהLay.lahH3915,he, and all his servantsעֲבָדָיו֙'a.va.DavH5650,and all the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֔יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714;and there was a greatגְדֹלָ֖הge.do.LahH1419cryצְעָקָ֥הtze.'a.KahH6818in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714; for there wasnot a houseבַּ֔יִתBa.yitH1004where there wasnot one deadמֵֽת׃MetH4191.

31And he calledוַיִּקְרָא֩vai.yik.Ra'H7121for Mosesלְמֹשֶׁ֨הle.mo.ShehH4872and Aaronוּֽלְאַהֲרֹ֜ןu.le.'a.ha.RonH175by nightלַ֗יְלָהLay.lahH3915,and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559,Rise upק֤וּמוּKu.muH6965, andget you forthצְּאוּ֙tze.'UH3318from amongמִתּ֣וֹךְmi.TokhH8432my peopleעַמִּ֔י'a.MiH5971,both ye and the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478;and goH3212,serveעִבְד֥וּ'iv.DuH5647the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068,as ye have saidכְּדַבֶּרְכֶֽם׃ke.da.ber.KhemH1696.

32Also takeקְח֛וּke.ChuH3947your flocksצֹאנְכֶ֨םtzon.KhemH6629and your herdsבְּקַרְכֶ֥םbe.kar.KhemH1241,as ye have saidדִּבַּרְתֶּ֖םdi.bar.TemH1696,and be goneH3212;and blessוּבֵֽרַכְתֶּ֖םu.ve.rakh.TemH1288me also.

33And the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֙יִם֙mitz.Ra.yimH4714were urgentוַתֶּחֱזַ֤קva.te.che.ZakH2388upon the peopleהָעָ֔םha.'AmH5971,that they might sendלְשַׁלְּחָ֣םle.sha.le.ChamH7971them out of the landהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776in hasteלְמַהֵ֖רle.ma.HerH4116;for they saidאָמְר֖וּ'a.me.RuH559, We beall deadמֵתִֽים׃me.TimH4191men.

34And the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971tookוַיִּשָּׂ֥אvai.yi.Sa'H5375their doughבְּצֵק֖וֹbe.tze.KoH1217before it was leavenedיֶחְמָ֑ץyech.MatzH2556,their kneadingtroughsמִשְׁאֲרֹתָ֛םmish.'a.ro.TamH4863being bound upצְרֻרֹ֥תtze.ru.RotH6887in their clothesבְּשִׂמְלֹתָ֖םbe.sim.lo.TamH8071upon their shouldersשִׁכְמָֽם׃shikh.MamH7926.

35And the childrenוּבְנֵי־u.ve.nei-H1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֥לYis.ra.'ElH3478didעָשׂ֖וּ'a.SuH6213according to the wordכִּדְבַ֣רkid.VarH1697of Mosesמֹשֶׁ֑הmo.ShehH4872;and they borrowedוַֽיִּשְׁאֲלוּ֙vai.yish.'a.LuH7592of the Egyptiansמִמִּצְרַ֔יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714jewelsכְּלֵי־ke.lei-H3627of silverכֶ֛סֶףKhe.sefH3701,and jewelsוּכְלֵ֥יu.khe.LeiH3627of goldזָהָ֖בza.HavH2091,and raimentוּשְׂמָלֹֽת׃u.se.ma.LotH8071:

36And the Lordוַֽיהוָ֞הva.Yah.wehH3068gaveנָתַ֨ןna.TanH5414the peopleהָעָ֛םha.'AmH5971favourחֵ֥ןchenH2580in the sightבְּעֵינֵ֥יbe.'ei.NeiH5869of the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֖יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714,so that they lentוַיַּשְׁאִל֑וּםvai.yash.'i.LumH7592unto them such things as they required.And they spoiledוַֽיְנַצְּל֖וּvay.na.tze.LuH5337the Egyptiansמִצְרָֽיִם׃ פmitz.Ra.yimH4714.

38And a mixedעֵ֥רֶב'E.revH6154multitudeרַ֖בravH7227went upעָלָ֣ה'a.LahH5927also with them; and flocksוְצֹ֣אןve.TzonH6629,and herdsוּבָקָ֔רu.va.KarH1241, evenveryמְאֹֽד׃me.'OdH3966muchכָּבֵ֥דka.VedH3515cattleמִקְנֶ֖הmik.NehH4735.

39And they bakedוַיֹּאפ֨וּvai.yo.FuH644unleavenedמַצּ֖וֹתma.TzotH4682cakesעֻגֹ֥ת'u.GotH5692of the doughהַבָּצֵ֜קha.ba.TzekH1217which they brought forthהוֹצִ֧יאוּho.Tzi.'uH3318out of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֛יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,for it was not leavenedחָמֵ֑ץcha.MetzH2556;because they were thrust outגֹרְשׁ֣וּgo.re.ShuH1644of Egyptמִמִּצְרַ֗יִםmi.mitz.Ra.yimH4714,and couldיָֽכְלוּ֙ya.khe.LuH3201not tarryלְהִתְמַהְמֵ֔הַּle.hit.mah.Me.ahH4102,neither had they preparedעָשׂ֥וּ'a.SuH6213for themselves any victualצֵדָ֖הtze.DahH6720.

40Now the sojourningוּמוֹשַׁב֙u.mo.ShavH4186of the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,who dweltיָשְׁב֖וּya.she.VuH3427in Egyptבְּמִצְרָ֑יִםbe.mitz.Ra.yimH4714, wasfourוְאַרְבַּ֥עve.'ar.Ba'H702hundredשָׁנָ֔ה מֵא֖וֹתsha.Nah me.'otH8141 H3967and thirtyשְׁלֹשִׁ֣יםshe.lo.ShimH7970yearsשָׁנָֽה׃sha.NahH8141.

42It isa nightלֵ֣ילleilH3915to be much observedשִׁמֻּרִ֥יםshi.mu.RimH8107unto the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068for bringingלְהוֹצִיאָ֖םle.ho.tzi.'AmH3318them out from the landמֵאֶ֣רֶץme.'E.retzH776of Egyptמִצְרָ֑יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714: this isthat nightהַלַּ֤יְלָהha.Lay.lahH3915of the Lordלַֽיהוָ֔הla.Yah.wehH3068to be observedשִׁמֻּרִ֛יםshi.mu.RimH8107of all the childrenבְּנֵ֥יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478in their generationsלְדֹרֹתָֽם׃ פle.do.ro.TamH1755.
