8Now in the eighteenthשְׁמוֹנֶ֤ה עֶשְׂרֵה֙she.mo.Neh 'es.RehH6240 H8083yearוּבִשְׁנַ֨תu.vish.NatH8141of his reignלְמָלְכ֔וֹle.ma.le.KhoH4427,when he had purgedלְטַהֵ֥רle.ta.HerH2891the landהָאָ֖רֶץha.'A.retzH776,and the houseוְהַבָּ֑יִתve.ha.Ba.yitH1004,he sentשָׁ֠לַחSha.lachH7971Shaphanשָׁפָ֨ןsha.FanH8227the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Azaliahאֲצַלְיָ֜הוּ'a.tzal.Ya.huH683,and Maaseiahמַעֲשֵׂיָ֣הוּma.'a.se.Ya.huH4641the governorשַׂר־sar-H8269of the cityהָעִ֗ירha.'IrH5892,and Joahיוֹאָ֤חyo.'AchH3098the sonבֶּן־ben-H1121of Joahazיֽוֹאָחָז֙yo.'a.ChazH3099the recorderהַמַּזְכִּ֔ירha.maz.KirH2142,to repairלְחַזֵּ֕קle.cha.ZekH2388the houseבֵּ֖יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֥הYah.wehH3068his Godאֱלֹהָֽיו׃'e.lo.HavH430.

9And when they cameוַיָּבֹ֜אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935to Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֣הוּ׀chil.ki.Ya.huH2518the highהַגָּד֗וֹלha.ga.DolH1419priestהַכֹּהֵ֣ןha.ko.HenH3548,they deliveredוַֽיִּתְּנוּ֮vai.yi.te.NuH5414the moneyהַכֶּסֶף֮ha.ke.SefH3701that was broughtהַמּוּבָ֣אha.mu.Va'H935into the houseבֵית־veit-H1004of Godאֱלֹהִים֒'E.lo.HimH430,which the Levitesהַלְוִיִּם֩hal.vi.YimH3881that keptשֹׁמְרֵ֨יsho.me.ReiH8104the doorsהַסַּ֜ףha.SafH5592had gatheredאָסְפֽוּ־'a.se.fu-H622of the handמִיַּ֧דmi.YadH3027of Manassehמְנַשֶּׁ֣הme.na.ShehH4519and Ephraimוְאֶפְרַ֗יִםve.'ef.Ra.yimH669,and of all the remnantשְׁאֵרִ֣יתshe.'e.RitH7611of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478,and of all Judahיְהוּדָ֖הye.hu.DahH3063and Benjaminוּבִנְיָמִ֑ןu.vin.ya.MinH1144;and they returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֖בוּve.yo.she.veiH3427 H7725to Jerusalemיְרֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ye.Ru.sha.LimH3389.

10And they putוַֽיִּתְּנ֗וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414itin the handיַד֙yadH3027of the workmenעֹשֵׂ֣ה הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה'o.Seh ha.me.la.KhahH4399 H6213that had the oversightהַמֻּפְקָדִ֖יםha.muf.ka.DimH6485of the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and they gaveוַיִּתְּנ֨וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414it to the workmenעוֹשֵׂ֣י הַמְּלָאכָ֗הo.Sei ha.me.la.KhahH4399 H6213that wroughtעֹשִׂים֙'o.SimH6213in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068,to repairלִבְדּ֥וֹקliv.DokH918and amendוּלְחַזֵּ֖קu.le.cha.ZekH2388the houseהַבָּֽיִת׃ha.Ba.yitH1004:

11Even to the artificersלֶחָֽרָשִׁים֙le.cha.ra.ShimH2796and buildersוְלַבֹּנִ֔יםve.la.bo.NimH1129gaveוַֽיִּתְּנ֗וּvai.yi.te.NuH5414they it,to buyלִקְנוֹת֙lik.nOtH7069hewnמַחְצֵ֔בmach.TzevH4274stoneאַבְנֵ֣י'av.NeiH68,and timberוְעֵצִ֖יםve.'e.TzimH6086for couplingsלַֽמְחַבְּר֑וֹתlam.cha.be.RotH4226,and to floorוּלְקָרוֹת֙u.le.ka.rOtH7136the housesהַבָּ֣תִּ֔יםha.Ba.TimH1004which the kingsמַלְכֵ֥יmal.KheiH4428of Judahיְהוּדָֽה׃ye.hu.DahH3063had destroyedהִשְׁחִ֖יתוּhish.Chi.tuH7843.

12And the menוְהָאֲנָשִׁים֩ve.ha.'a.na.ShimH582didעֹשִׂ֨ים'o.SimH6213the workבַּמְּלָאכָ֗הba.me.la.KhahH4399faithfullyבֶּאֱמוּנָ֜הbe.'e.mu.NahH530:and the overseersלְנַצֵּ֑חַle.na.Tze.achH5329of them wereJahathיַ֣חַתYa.chatH3189and Obadiahוְעֹבַדְיָ֤הוּve.'oad.Ya.huH5662,the Levitesהַלְוִיִּם֙hal.vi.YimH3881,of the sonsH1121of Merariמְרָרִ֔יme.ra.RiH4847;and Zechariahוּזְכַרְיָ֧הu.ze.khar.YahH2148and Meshullamוּמְשֻׁלָּ֛םu.me.shu.LamH4918,of the sons of the Kohathitesהַקְּהָתִ֖יםha.ke.ha.TimH6956, to set itforwardמֻ֠פְקָדִיםMuf.ka.dimH6485; and other ofthe Levitesוְהַ֨לְוִיִּ֔םve.Hal.vi.YimH3881,all that could skillמֵבִ֖יןme.VinH995of instrumentsבִּכְלֵי־bikh.lei-H3627of musickשִֽׁיר׃ShirH7892.

13Also they wereover the bearers of burdensהַסַּבָּלִ֗יםha.sa.ba.LimH5449, and wereoverseersוּֽמְנַצְּחִים֙u.me.na.tze.ChimH5329of all that wroughtעֹשֵׂ֣ה'o.SehH6213the workמְלָאכָ֔הme.la.KhahH4399in any manner of serviceH5656:and of the Levitesוּמֵֽהַלְוִיִּ֔םu.me.hal.vi.YimH3881there werescribesסוֹפְרִ֥יםsof.RimH5608,and officersוְשֹׁטְרִ֖יםve.sho.te.RimH7860,and portersוְשׁוֹעֲרִֽים׃ve.sho.'a.RimH7778.

14And when they brought outוּבְהוֹצִיאָ֣םu.ve.ho.tzi.'AmH3318the moneyהַכֶּ֔סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701that was brought intoהַמּוּבָ֖אha.mu.Va'H935the houseבֵּ֣יתbeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֣הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518the priestהַכֹּהֵ֔ןha.ko.HenH3548foundמָצָא֙ma.Tza'H4672a bookסֵ֥פֶרSe.ferH5612of the lawתּֽוֹרַת־to.rat-H8451of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068givenbyבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027Mosesמֹשֶֽׁה׃mo.ShehH4872.

15And Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֗הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518answeredוַיַּ֣עַןvai.Ya.'anH6030and saidוַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙vai.Yo.merH559to Shaphanשָׁפָ֣ןsha.FanH8227the scribeהַסּוֹפֵ֔רha.so.FerH5608,I have foundמָצָ֖אתִיma.Tza.tiH4672the bookסֵ֧פֶרSe.ferH5612of the lawהַתּוֹרָ֛הha.to.RahH8451in the houseבְּבֵ֣יתbe.VeitH1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068.And Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֛הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518deliveredוַיִּתֵּ֧ןvai.yi.TenH5414the bookהַסֵּ֖פֶרha.Se.ferH5612to Shaphanשָׁפָֽן׃sha.FanH8227.

16And Shaphanשָׁפָ֤ןsha.FanH8227carriedוַיָּבֵ֨אvai.ya.Ve'H935the bookהַסֵּ֙פֶר֙ha.Se.ferH5612to the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428,and broughtH7725the kingהַמֶּ֛לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428wordדָּבָ֖רda.VarH1697backוַיָּ֨שֶׁבvai.Ya.shevH7725again, sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,All that was committedנִתַּ֥ןni.TanH5414toבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027thy servantsעֲבָדֶ֖יךָ'a.va.Dei.khaH5650,they doעֹשִֽׂים׃'o.SimH6213it.

17And they have gathered togetherוַיַּתִּ֕יכוּvai.ya.Ti.khuH5413the moneyהַכֶּ֖סֶףha.Ke.sefH3701that was foundהַנִּמְצָ֣אha.nim.Tza'H4672in the houseבְּבֵית־be.veit-H1004of the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068,and have deliveredוַֽיִּתְּנ֗וּהוּvai.yi.te.Nu.huH5414it into the handיַד֙yadH3027of the overseersהַמֻּפְקָדִ֔יםha.muf.ka.DimH6485,and to the handיַ֖דyadH3027of the workmenעוֹשֵׂ֥י הַמְּלָאכָֽה׃o.Sei ha.me.la.KhahH4399 H6213.

18Then Shaphanשָׁפָ֤ןsha.FanH8227the scribeהַסּוֹפֵר֙ha.so.FerH5608toldוַיַּגֵּ֞דvai.ya.GedH5046the kingלַמֶּ֣לֶךְla.Me.lekhH4428,sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559,Hilkiahחִלְקִיָּ֖הוּchil.ki.Ya.huH2518the priestהַכֹּהֵ֑ןha.ko.HenH3548hath givenנָ֣תַןNa.tanH5414me a bookסֵ֚פֶרSe.ferH5612.And Shaphanשָׁפָ֖ןsha.FanH8227readוַיִּקְרָא־vai.yik.ra'-H7121it beforeלִפְנֵ֥יlif.NeiH6440the kingהַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ha.Me.lekhH4428.

19And it came to pass, when the kingהַמֶּ֔לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428had heardכִּשְׁמֹ֣עַkish.Mo.a'H8085the wordsדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697of the lawהַתּוֹרָ֑הha.to.RahH8451,that he rentוַיִּקְרַ֖עvai.yik.Ra'H7167his clothesבְּגָדָֽיו׃be.ga.DavH899.
