3And they sentוַֽיִּשְׁלְחוּ֙vai.yish.le.ChuH7971and calledוַיִּקְרְאוּ־vai.yik.re.'u-H7121him. So Jeroboamיָרָבְעָ֖םya.ra.ve.'AmH3379and all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֑לYis.ra.'ElH3478cameוַיָּבֹ֥אvai.ya.Vo'H935and spakeוַֽיְדַבְּר֔וּvay.da.be.RuH1696to Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֖םre.chav.'AmH7346,sayingלֵאמֹֽר׃le.MorH559,

4Thy fatherאָבִ֖יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1made our yokeעֻלֵּ֑נוּ'u.Le.nuH5923grievousהִקְשָׁ֣הhik.ShahH7185:now therefore easeהָקֵל֩ha.KelH7043thou somewhat the grievousהַקָּשָׁ֗הha.ka.ShahH7186servitudeמֵעֲבֹדַ֨תme.'a.vo.DatH5656of thy fatherאָבִ֜יךָ'a.Vi.khaH1,and his heavyהַכָּבֵ֛דha.ka.VedH3515yokeוּמֵעֻלּ֧וֹu.me.'u.LoH5923that he putנָתַ֥ןna.TanH5414upon us, and we will serveוְנַֽעַבְדֶֽךָּ׃ve.Na.'av.De.kaH5647thee.

5And he saidוַיֹּ֣אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto them, Come againוְשׁ֣וּבוּve.Shu.vuH7725unto me after threeשְׁלֹ֥שֶׁתshe.Lo.shetH7969daysיָמִ֖יםya.MimH3117.And the peopleהָעָֽם׃ סha.'AmH5971departedH3212.

6And kingהַמֶּ֣לֶךְha.Me.lekhH4428Rehoboamרְחַבְעָ֗םre.chav.'AmH7346took counselוַיִּוָּעַ֞ץvai.yi.va.'AtzH3289with the oldהַזְּקֵנִים֙ha.ze.ke.NimH2205men that had stoodעֹֽמְדִ֗ים'o.me.DimH5975beforeלִפְנֵי֙lif.NeiH6440Solomonשְׁלֹמֹ֣הshe.lo.MohH8010his fatherאָבִ֔יו'a.VivH1while he yet livedחַ֖יchaiH2416,sayingלֵאמֹ֑רle.MorH559,Whatאֵ֚יךְ'eikhH349counsel giveנֽוֹעָצִ֔יםno.'a.TzimH3289ye meto returnלְהָשִׁ֥יבle.ha.ShivH7725answerדָּבָֽר׃da.VarH1697to this peopleלָֽעָם־la.'om-H5971?

7And they spakeוַיְדַבְּר֨וּvay.da.be.RuH1696unto him, sayingלֵאמֹ֗רle.MorH559,If thou be kindלְט֜וֹבle.TovH2896to this peopleלְהָעָ֤םle.ha.'AmH5971,and pleaseוּרְצִיתָ֔םu.re.tzi.TamH7521them, and speakוְדִבַּרְתָּ֥ve.di.bar.TaH1696goodטוֹבִ֑יםto.VimH2896wordsדְּבָרִ֣יםde.va.RimH1697to them, they will be thy servantsעֲבָדִ֖ים'a.va.DimH5650for everהַיָּמִֽים׃hai.ya.MimH3117.
