48And it came to pass, when the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יha.pe.lish.TiH6430aroseקָ֣םkamH6965,and cameH3212and drew nighוַיִּקְרַ֖בvai.yik.RavH7126to meetH7125Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732,that Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732hastedוַיְמַהֵ֣רvay.ma.HerH4116,and ranוַיָּ֥רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323toward the armyהַמַּעֲרָכָ֖הha.ma.'a.ra.KhahH4634to meetH7125the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּֽי׃ha.pe.lish.TiH6430.

49And Davidדָּוִ֨דda.VidH1732putוַיִּשְׁלַח֩vai.yish.LachH7971his handיָד֜וֹya.DoH3027in his bagהַכֶּ֗לִיha.Ke.liH3627,and tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947thence a stoneאֶ֙בֶן֙'e.venH68,and slangוַיְקַלַּ֔עvay.ka.La'H7049it,and smoteוַיַּ֥ךְvai.YakhH5221the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430in his foreheadמִצְח֑וֹmitz.ChoH4696,that the stoneהָאֶ֙בֶן֙ha.'E.venH68sunkוַתִּטְבַּ֤עva.tit.Ba'H2883into his foreheadבְּמִצְח֔וֹbe.mitz.ChoH4696;and he fellוַיִּפֹּ֥לvai.yi.PolH5307upon his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440to the earthאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776.

50So Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732prevailedוַיֶּחֱזַ֨קvai.ye.che.ZakH2388overמִן־min-H4480the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּי֙ha.pe.lish.TiH6430with a slingבַּקֶּ֣לַעba.Ke.la'H7050and with a stoneוּבָאֶ֔בֶןu.va.'E.venH68,and smoteוַיַּ֥ךְvai.YakhH5221the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430,and slewוַיְמִיתֵ֑הוּvay.mi.Te.huH4191him; but there wasno swordוְחֶ֖רֶבve.Che.revH2719in the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of Davidדָּוִֽד׃da.VidH1732.

51Therefore Davidדָּ֠וִדDa.vidH1732ranוַיָּ֣רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323,and stoodוַיַּעֲמֹ֨דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975upon the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֜יha.pe.lish.TiH6430,and tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947his swordחַ֠רְבּוֹchar.boH2719,and drewוַֽיִּשְׁלְפָ֤הּvai.yish.le.FahH8025it out of the sheathמִתַּעְרָהּ֙mi.ta'.RahH8593thereof, and slewוַיְמֹ֣תְתֵ֔הוּvay.Mo.te.Te.huH4191him, and cut offוַיִּכְרָת־vai.yikh.rot-H3772his headרֹאשׁ֑וֹro.ShoH7218therewith.
