34And Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Saulשָׁא֔וּלsha.'UlH7586,Thy servantעַבְדְּךָ֛'av.de.KhaH5650keptרֹעֶ֨הro.'EhH7462his father’sלְאָבִ֖יוle.'a.VivH1sheepבַּצֹּ֑אןba.TzonH6629,and there cameוּבָ֤אu.Va'H935a lionהָֽאֲרִי֙ha.'a.RiH738,and a bearהַדּ֔וֹבha.DovH1677,and tookוְנָשָׂ֥אve.na.Sa'H5375a lambשֶׂ֖הsehH2089H7716out of the flockמֵהָעֵֽדֶר׃me.ha.'E.derH5739:
35And I went outוְיָצָ֧אתִיve.ya.Tza.tiH3318afterאַחֲרָ֛יו'a.cha.RavH310him, and smoteוְהִכִּתִ֖יוve.hi.ki.TivH5221him, and deliveredוְהִצַּ֣לְתִּיve.hi.Tzal.tiH5337itout of his mouthמִפִּ֑יוmi.PivH6310:and when he aroseוַיָּ֣קָםvai.Ya.komH6965against me, I caughtוְהֶחֱזַ֙קְתִּי֙ve.he.che.Zak.tiH2388himby his beardבִּזְקָנ֔וֹbiz.ka.NoH2206,and smoteוְהִכִּתִ֖יוve.hi.ki.TivH5221him, and slewוַהֲמִיתִּֽיו׃va.ha.mi.TivH4191him.
36Thy servantעַבְדֶּ֑ךָ'av.De.khaH5650slewהִכָּ֣הhi.KahH5221both the lionהָאֲרִ֛יha.'a.RiH738and the bearהַדּ֖וֹבha.DovH1677:and this uncircumcisedהֶעָרֵ֤לhe.'a.RelH6189Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֨יha.pe.lish.TiH6430shall be as oneכְּאַחַ֣דke.'a.ChadH259of them, seeing he hath defiedחֵרֵ֔ףche.RefH2778the armiesמַעַרְכֹ֖תma.'ar.KhotH4634of the livingחַיִּֽים׃ סchai.YimH2416Godאֱלֹהִ֥ים'E.lo.HimH430.
37Davidדָּוִד֒da.VidH1732saidוַיֹּאמֶר֮vai.yo.MerH559moreover, The Lordיְהוָ֗הYah.wehH3068that deliveredהִצִּלַ֜נִיhi.tzi.La.niH5337me out of the pawמִיַּ֤דmi.YadH3027of the lionהָֽאֲרִי֙ha.'a.RiH738,and out of the pawוּמִיַּ֣דu.mi.YadH3027of the bearהַדֹּ֔בha.DoH1677,he will deliverיַצִּילֵ֔נִיya.tzi.Le.niH5337me out of the handמִיַּ֥דmi.YadH3027of this Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430.And Saulשָׁא֤וּלsha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732,GoH3212,and the Lordוַֽיהוָ֖הva.Yah.wehH3068be with thee.
38And Saulשָׁא֤וּלsha.'UlH7586armedוַיַּלְבֵּ֨שׁvai.yal.BeshH3847Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732with his armourמַדָּ֔יוma.DavH4055,and he putוְנָתַ֛ןve.na.TanH5414an helmetק֥וֹבַעKoa'H6959of brassנְחֹ֖שֶׁתne.Cho.shetH5178upon his headרֹאשׁ֑וֹro.ShoH7218;also he armedוַיַּלְבֵּ֥שׁvai.yal.BeshH3847him with a coat of mailשִׁרְיֽוֹן׃shir.YonH8302.
39And Davidדָּוִ֣דda.VidH1732girdedוַיַּחְגֹּ֣רvai.yach.GorH2296his swordחַ֠רְבּוֹchar.boH2719upon his armourלְמַדָּ֜יוle.ma.DavH4055,and he assayedוַיֹּ֣אֶלvai.Yo.'elH2974to goH3212;for he had not provedנִסָּה֒ni.SahH5254it.And Davidדָּוִ֜דda.VidH1732saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Saulשָׁא֗וּלsha.'UlH7586,I cannotאוּכַ֛ל'u.KhalH3201goH3212with these; for I have not provedנִסִּ֑יתִיni.Si.tiH5254them.And Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732putוַיְסִרֵ֥םvay.si.RemH5493them off him.
40And he tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947his staffמַקְל֜וֹmak.LoH4731in his handבְּיָד֗וֹbe.ya.DoH3027,and choseוַיִּבְחַר־vai.yiv.char-H977him fiveחֲמִשָּׁ֣הcha.mi.ShahH2568smoothחַלֻּקֵֽי־cha.lu.kei-H2512stonesאֲבָנִ֣ים׀'a.va.NimH68out of the brookהַנַּ֡חַלha.Na.chalH5158,and putוַיָּ֣שֶׂםvai.Ya.semH7760them in a shepherd’sהָרֹעִ֧יםha.ro.'ImH7462bagבִּכְלִ֨יbikh.LiH3627which he had, even in a scripוּבַיַּלְק֖וּטu.vai.yal.KutH3219;and his slingוְקַלְּע֣וֹve.ka.le.'OH7050wasin his handבְיָד֑וֹve.ya.DoH3027:and he drew nearוַיִּגַּ֖שׁvai.yi.GashH5066to the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּֽי׃ha.pe.lish.TiH6430.
42And when the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֛יha.pe.lish.TiH6430looked aboutוַיַּבֵּ֧טvai.ya.BetH5027,and sawוַיִּרְאֶ֥הvai.yir.'EhH7200Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732,he disdainedוַיִּבְזֵ֑הוּvai.yiv.Ze.huH959him: for he was buta youthנַ֔עַרNa.'arH5288,and ruddyוְאַדְמֹנִ֖יve.'ad.mo.NiH132,and of a fairיְפֵ֥הye.PehH3303countenanceמַרְאֶֽה׃mar.'EhH4758.
43And the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּי֙ha.pe.lish.TiH6430saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559unto Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732, AmI a dogהֲכֶ֣לֶבha.Khe.levH3611,that thou comestבָֽא־va'-H935to me with stavesבַּמַּקְל֑וֹתba.mak.LotH4731?And the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֛יha.pe.lish.TiH6430cursedוַיְקַלֵּ֧לvay.ka.LelH7043Davidדָּוִ֖דda.VidH1732by his godsבֵּאלֹהָֽיו׃be.lo.HavH430.
44And the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430saidוַיֹּ֥אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732,ComeH3212to me, and I will giveוְאֶתְּנָה֙ve.'e.te.NahH5414thy fleshבְּשָׂ֣רְךָ֔be.Sa.re.khaH1320unto the fowlsלְע֥וֹףle.'ofH5775of the airהַשָּׁמַ֖יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and to the beastsוּלְבֶהֱמַ֥תu.le.ve.he.MatH929of the fieldהַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ סha.sa.DehH7704.
45Then saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559Davidדָּוִד֙da.VidH1732to the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יha.pe.lish.TiH6430,Thou comestבָּ֣אba'H935to me with a swordבְּחֶ֖רֶבbe.Che.revH2719,and with a spearוּבַחֲנִ֣יתu.va.cha.NitH2595,and with a shieldוּבְכִיד֑וֹןu.ve.khi.DonH3591:but I comeבָֽא־va'-H935to thee in the nameבְּשֵׁם֙be.ShemH8034of the Lordיְהוָ֣הYah.wehH3068of hostsצְבָא֔וֹתtze.va.'otH6635,the Godאֱלֹהֵ֛י'e.lo.HeiH430of the armiesמַעַרְכ֥וֹתma.'ar.KhotH4634of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,whom thou hast defiedחֵרַֽפְתָּ׃che.Raf.taH2778.
46This dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117will the Lordיְהוָ֨הYah.wehH3068deliverיְסַגֶּרְךָ֩ye.sa.ger.KhaH5462thee into mine handבְּיָדִ֜יbe.ya.DiH3027;and I will smiteוְהִכִּיתִ֗ךָve.hi.ki.Ti.khaH5221thee, and takeוַהֲסִרֹתִ֤יva.ha.si.ro.TiH5493thine headרֹֽאשְׁךָ֙ro.she.KhaH7218from thee; and I will giveוְנָ֨תַתִּ֜יve.Na.ta.TiH5414the carcasesפֶּ֣גֶרPe.gerH6297of the hostמַחֲנֵ֤הma.cha.NehH4264of the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּים֙fe.lish.TimH6430this dayהַיּ֣וֹםhai.YomH3117unto the fowlsלְע֥וֹףle.'ofH5775of the airהַשָּׁמַ֖יִםha.sha.Ma.yimH8064,and to the wild beastsוּלְחַיַּ֣תu.le.chai.YatH2416of the earthהָאָ֑רֶץha.'A.retzH776;that all the earthהָאָ֔רֶץha.'A.retzH776may knowוְיֵֽדְעוּ֙ve.ye.de.'UH3045that there isיֵ֥שׁyeshH3426a Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430in Israelלְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃le.Yis.ra.'ElH3478.
47And all this assemblyהַקָּהָ֣לha.ka.HalH6951shall knowוְיֵֽדְעוּ֙ve.ye.de.'UH3045that the Lordיְהוָ֑הYah.wehH3068savethיְהוֹשִׁ֣יעַye.ho.Shi.a'H3467not with swordבְּחֶ֥רֶבbe.Che.revH2719and spearוּבַחֲנִ֖יתu.va.cha.NitH2595:for the battleהַמִּלְחָמָ֔הha.mil.cha.MahH4421isthe Lord’sלַֽיהוָה֙la.Yah.wehH3068,and he will giveוְנָתַ֥ןve.na.TanH5414you into our handsבְּיָדֵֽנוּ׃be.ya.De.nuH3027.
48And it came to pass, when the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יha.pe.lish.TiH6430aroseקָ֣םkamH6965,and cameH3212and drew nighוַיִּקְרַ֖בvai.yik.RavH7126to meetH7125Davidדָּוִ֑דda.VidH1732,that Davidדָּוִ֔דda.VidH1732hastedוַיְמַהֵ֣רvay.ma.HerH4116,and ranוַיָּ֥רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323toward the armyהַמַּעֲרָכָ֖הha.ma.'a.ra.KhahH4634to meetH7125the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּֽי׃ha.pe.lish.TiH6430.
49And Davidדָּוִ֨דda.VidH1732putוַיִּשְׁלַח֩vai.yish.LachH7971his handיָד֜וֹya.DoH3027in his bagהַכֶּ֗לִיha.Ke.liH3627,and tookוַיִּקַּ֨חvai.yi.KachH3947thence a stoneאֶ֙בֶן֙'e.venH68,and slangוַיְקַלַּ֔עvay.ka.La'H7049it,and smoteוַיַּ֥ךְvai.YakhH5221the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430in his foreheadמִצְח֑וֹmitz.ChoH4696,that the stoneהָאֶ֙בֶן֙ha.'E.venH68sunkוַתִּטְבַּ֤עva.tit.Ba'H2883into his foreheadבְּמִצְח֔וֹbe.mitz.ChoH4696;and he fellוַיִּפֹּ֥לvai.yi.PolH5307upon his faceפָּנָ֖יוpa.NavH6440to the earthאָֽרְצָה׃'A.re.tzahH776.
50So Davidדָּוִ֤דda.VidH1732prevailedוַיֶּחֱזַ֨קvai.ye.che.ZakH2388overמִן־min-H4480the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּי֙ha.pe.lish.TiH6430with a slingבַּקֶּ֣לַעba.Ke.la'H7050and with a stoneוּבָאֶ֔בֶןu.va.'E.venH68,and smoteוַיַּ֥ךְvai.YakhH5221the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖יha.pe.lish.TiH6430,and slewוַיְמִיתֵ֑הוּvay.mi.Te.huH4191him; but there wasno swordוְחֶ֖רֶבve.Che.revH2719in the handבְּיַד־be.yad-H3027of Davidדָּוִֽד׃da.VidH1732.
51Therefore Davidדָּ֠וִדDa.vidH1732ranוַיָּ֣רָץvai.Ya.rotzH7323,and stoodוַיַּעֲמֹ֨דvai.ya.'a.ModH5975upon the Philistineהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֜יha.pe.lish.TiH6430,and tookוַיִּקַּ֣חvai.yi.KachH3947his swordחַ֠רְבּוֹchar.boH2719,and drewוַֽיִּשְׁלְפָ֤הּvai.yish.le.FahH8025it out of the sheathמִתַּעְרָהּ֙mi.ta'.RahH8593thereof, and slewוַיְמֹ֣תְתֵ֔הוּvay.Mo.te.Te.huH4191him, and cut offוַיִּכְרָת־vai.yikh.rot-H3772his headרֹאשׁ֑וֹro.ShoH7218therewith. 53And the childrenבְּנֵ֣יbe.NeiH1121of Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֔לYis.ra.'ElH3478returnedוַיָּשֻׁ֙בוּ֙vai.ya.Shu.vuH7725from chasingמִדְּלֹ֖קmi.de.LokH1814afterאַחֲרֵ֣י'a.cha.ReiH310the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּ֑יםfe.lish.TimH6430,and they spoiledוַיָּשֹׁ֖סּוּvai.ya.Sho.suH8155their tentsמַחֲנֵיהֶֽם׃ma.cha.nei.HemH4264.
