10These also arethe chiefרָאשֵׁ֤יra.SheiH7218of the mighty menהַגִּבּוֹרִים֙ha.gi.bo.RimH1368whom Davidלְדָוִ֔ידle.da.VidH1732had, who strengthenedהַמִּתְחַזְּקִ֨יםha.mit.cha.ze.KimH2388themselves with him in his kingdomבְמַלְכוּת֛וֹve.mal.khu.ToH4438, andwith all Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478,to make him kingלְהַמְלִיכ֑וֹle.ham.li.KhoH4427,according to the wordכִּדְבַ֥רkid.VarH1697of the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068concerning Israelיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ סYis.ra.'ElH3478.

13He was with Davidדָּוִ֜ידda.VidH1732at Pas–dammimH6450,and there the Philistinesוְהַפְּלִשְׁתִּים֙ve.ha.pe.lish.TimH6430were gathered togetherנֶאֱסְפוּ־ne.'es.fu-H622to battleלַמִּלְחָמָ֔הla.mil.cha.MahH4421,where was a parcelחֶלְקַ֥תchel.KatH2513of groundהַשָּׂדֶ֖הha.sa.DehH7704fullמְלֵאָ֣הme.le.'AhH4392of barleyשְׂעוֹרִ֑יםse.'o.RimH8184;and the peopleוְהָעָ֥םve.ha.'AmH5971fledנָ֖סוּNa.suH5127from beforeמִפְּנֵ֥יmi.pe.NeiH6440the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּֽים׃fe.lish.TimH6430.
14And they setוַיִּֽתְיַצְּב֤וּvai.yit.ya.tze.VuH3320themselves in the midstבְתוֹךְ־ve.tokh-H8432of thatparcelהַחֶלְקָה֙ha.chel.KahH2513,and deliveredוַיַּצִּיל֔וּהָvai.ya.tzi.Lu.haH5337it, and slewוַיַּכּ֖וּvai.ya.KuH5221the Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑יםpe.lish.TimH6430;and the Lordיְהוָ֖הYah.wehH3068savedוַיּ֥וֹשַׁעvai.Yo.o.sha'H3467themby a greatגְדוֹלָֽה׃ge.do.LahH1419deliveranceתְּשׁוּעָ֥הte.shu.'AhH8668.
