Amos 3:1-8
1HearH8085 thisH2088 wordH1697 thatH834 the LORDH3068 has spokenH1696 against youH5921, O childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, againstH5921 the wholeH3605 familyH4940 thatH834 I brought upH5927 out of the landH776 of EgyptH4714H559:
2“OnlyH7535 youH853 have I knownH30451from allH3605 the familiesH4940 of the earthH127;thereforeH5921H3651 I will punishH6485 youH5921for allH3605 your iniquitiesH5771.”
3Can twoH8147 walkH1980 togetherH3162withoutH1115H518 agreeingH3259 where to go?24Does a lionH738 roarH7580 in the forestH3293when he has noH369 preyH2964?Does a young lionH3715 growlH5414H6963 in his denH4585ifH518 he has caughtH3920 nothingH1115?5Does a birdH6833 landH5307 inH5921 a snareH6341where noH369 baitH4170 has been set?Does a trapH6341 springH5927 fromH4480 the groundH127when it hasH3920 nothingH3808 to catchH3920?6IfH518 a ram’s hornH7782 soundsH8628 in a cityH5892,do the peopleH5971 notH3808 trembleH2729?IfH518 calamityH7451 comesH1961 to a cityH5892,has notH3808 the LORDH3068 caused itH6213?
7SurelyH3588 the LordH136 GODH3069 doesH6213 nothingH3808H1697withoutH3588H518 revealingH1540 His planH5475toH413 His servantsH5650 the prophetsH5030.8The lionH738 has roaredH7580—whoH4310 will notH3808 fearH3372?The LordH136 GODH3069 has spokenH1696—whoH4310 will notH3808 prophesyH5012?
