11Then the LORDH3068 saidH559 toH413 SamuelH8050H2009, “IH595 am about to doH6213 somethingH1697 in IsraelH3478 at whichH834 the earsH8147H241 of allH3605 who hear itH8085 will tingleH6750. 12On thatH1931 dayH3117 I will carry outH6965 againstH413 EliH5941 everythingH3605 I have spokenH1696 aboutH413 his houseH1004, from beginningH2490 to endH3615. 13I toldH5046 him thatH3588 IH589 would judgeH8199 his houseH1004 foreverH5704H5769 for the iniquityH5771 of whichH834 he knowsH3045, becauseH3588 his sonsH1121 blasphemed GodH70431 and he did notH3808 restrainH3543 them. 14ThereforeH3651 I have swornH7650 to the houseH1004 of EliH5941, ‘The iniquityH5771 of Eli’sH5941 houseH1004 shall neverH518H5704H5769 be atoned forH3722 by sacrificeH2077 or offeringH4503.’”

15SamuelH8050 lay downH7901 untilH5704 the morningH1242; then he openedH6605 the doorsH1817 of the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068. HeH8050 was afraidH3372 to tellH5046 EliH5941 the visionH4759H413, 16but EliH5941 calledH7121 to himH8050 and saidH559, “SamuelH8050, my sonH1121.”

“Here I amH2005,” answered SamuelH559.

17“WhatH4100 was the messageH1697 He gave youH1696H413?” Eli askedH559. “Do notH408H4994 hideH3582 it from meH4480. May GodH430 punishH3541H6213 you, and ever soH3541 severelyH3254, ifH518 you hideH3582 from meH4480 anythingH1697H3605 He saidH1696 to youH413.”

18So SamuelH8050 toldH5046 him everythingH3605H1697 and did notH3808 hideH3582 a thing from himH4480.

“HeH1931 is the LORDH3068,” replied EliH559. “Let Him doH6213 what is goodH2896 in His eyesH5869.”
