Revised Version 1895
Exodus 22:21-27
21And a stranger shalt thou notH3808 wrong, neitherH3808 shalt thou oppressH6031 him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
22Ye shall notH518 afflictH6031 anyH3588 widow, or fatherless child.
23IfH1961 thou afflict them in anyH1961 wise, and they cry at all unto meH1961, I will surelyH1961 hear their cry;
24and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill youH518 with the sword; and your wives shall be widowsH5971, and your children fatherless.
25IfH518 thou lend money to any of my peopleH518 with thee that is poor, thou shalt notH518 be to him as a creditor; neitherH518 shall ye lay uponH935 him usury.
26IfH3588 thou at allH7901 takeH1961 thy neighbour’s garmentH8071 to pledge, thou shalt restore it unto him by that the sun goeth downH7901:
27for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto meH3808, that I will hear; for I am gracious.
