Revised Version 1895
Samuel 16:9-13
Then saidH559 AbishaiH52 the sonH1121 of ZeruiahH6870 unto the kingH4428, WhyH4100 should this deadH4191 dogH3611 curseH7043 my lordH113 the kingH4428? letH4994 meH413 goH5674 over, I prayH4994 thee, and takeH5493 offH5493 his headH7218.
And the kingH4428 saidH559, WhatH4100 have I to doH6213 with youH3588, ye sonsH1121 of ZeruiahH6870? BecauseH3588 he curseth, and becauseH3588 the LORDH3068 hath saidH559 unto him, CurseH7043 DavidH1732; who then shall sayH559, Wherefore hast thou doneH6213 soH3651?
And DavidH1732 saidH559 to AbishaiH52, and to allH3605 his servantsH5650, BeholdH2009, my sonH1121, whichH834 cameH3318 forthH3318 of my bowelsH4578, seeketh my lifeH5315: howH834 muchH637 moreH637 may this BenjamiteH1145 nowH6258 doH637 it? letH637 him alone, and letH637 him curseH7043; for the LORDH3068 hath bidden him.
It may be that the LORDH3068 will lookH7200 on the wrongH5771 done unto meH7725, and that the LORDH3068 will requite meH7725 goodH2896 for his cursingH7045 of meH7725 this dayH3117.
SoH1980 DavidH1732 and his menH376 wentH1980 by the wayH1870: and ShimeiH8096 wentH1980 alongH1980 on the hillH2022 sideH6763 over againstH376 him, and cursedH7043 as he wentH1980, and threwH6080 stonesH68 at him, and castH5619 dustH6083.
