Revised Version 1895
Samuel 10:7-12
And when DavidH1732 heardH8085 of it, he sentH7971 JoabH3097, and allH3605 the hostH6635 of the mightyH1368 menH1368.
And the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983 cameH3318 outH3318, and putH3318 the battleH4421 in arrayH4421 at the entering in of the gateH8179: and the Syrians of ZobahH6678, and of RehobH7340, and the menH376 of TobH2897 and MaacahH4601, were by themselvesH905 in the fieldH7704.
NowH1961 when JoabH3097 sawH7200 that the battleH4421 was set againstH413 him beforeH6440 and behindH268, he choseH977 of allH3605 the choiceH977 menH970 of IsraelH3478, and put them in arrayH4421 againstH413 the Syrians:
And the restH3499 of the peopleH5971 he committedH5414 intoH3027 the handH3027 of AbishaiH52 his brotherH251, and he putH5414 them in array againstH7125 the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983.
And he saidH559, IfH518 the Syrians be tooH4480 strongH2388 for meH4480, then thou shalt helpH3467 meH4480: but ifH518 the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983 be tooH4480 strongH2388 for thee, then I will comeH1980 and helpH3467 thee.
Be of goodH2896 courageH2388, and let usH5869 play the menH5971 for our peopleH5971, and for the citiesH5892 of our GodH430: and the LORDH3068 doH6213 that whichH5869 seemeth him goodH2896.
