Kings 2:3-15
And the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 that were at Beth-el cameH3318 forthH3318 to ElishaH477, and saidH559 unto him, Knowest thou that the LORDH3068 will takeH3947 awayH3947 thy masterH113 from thy headH7218 todayH3117? And he saidH559, YeaH3588, I knowH3045 it; hold ye your peace.
And ElijahH452 saidH559 unto him, ElishaH477, tarry hereH6311, I prayH4994 thee; for the LORDH3068 hath sentH7971 meH4994 to JerichoH3405. And he saidH559, As the LORDH3068 liveth, and as thy soulH5315 liveth, I will notH518 leaveH5800 thee. SoH7971 they cameH935 to JerichoH3405.
And the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 that were at JerichoH3405 cameH5066 nearH5066 to ElishaH477, and saidH559 unto him, Knowest thou that the LORDH3068 will takeH3947 awayH3947 thy masterH113 from thy headH7218 todayH3117? And he answeredH559, YeaH3588, I knowH3045 it; hold ye your peace.
And ElijahH452 saidH559 unto him, Tarry hereH6311, I prayH4994 thee; for the LORDH3068 hath sentH7971 meH4994 to JordanH3383. And he saidH559, As the LORDH3068 liveth, and as thy soulH5315 liveth, I will notH518 leaveH5800 thee. And they twoH8147 went on.
And fiftyH2572 menH376 of the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 wentH1980, and stoodH5975 over againstH5921 them afarH7350 offH5921: and they twoH8147 stoodH5975 by JordanH3383.
And ElijahH452 tookH3947 his mantleH155, and wrapped it togetherH1563, and smoteH5221 meH3947 watersH4325, and they were dividedH2673 hither and thither, soH3947 that they twoH8147 went over on dryH2724 groundH2724.
And it cameH1961 to passH5674, when they were goneH1961 over, that ElijahH452 saidH559 unto ElishaH477, AskH7592 whatH4100 I shall doH6213 for thee, beforeH2962 I be takenH3947 from thee. And ElishaH477 saidH559, I prayH4994 thee, letH4994 a doubleH8147 portionH6310 of thy spiritH7307 be uponH1961 meH413.
And he saidH559, Thou hast askedH7592 a hardH7185 thingH3651: neverthelessH3651, ifH518 thou seeH7200 meH7200 when I am takenH3947 from thee, it shall be soH3651 unto thee; but ifH518 notH3808, it shall notH3808 be soH3651.
And it cameH1961 to passH1961, as they still wentH1980 on, and talkedH1696, that, beholdH2009, there appeared a chariotH7393 of fireH784, and horsesH5483 of fireH784, whichH784 partedH6504 them bothH8147 asunder; and ElijahH452 wentH1980 upH5927 by a whirlwind intoH1980 heavenH8064.
And ElishaH477 sawH7200 it, and he criedH6817, My fatherH1, my fatherH1, the chariotsH7393 of IsraelH3478 and the horsemenH6571 thereof! And he sawH7200 him noH3808 moreH5750: and he tookH2388 holdH2388 of his ownH2388 clothesH899, and rent them in twoH8147 piecesH7168.
He tookH853 upH7311 also the mantleH155 of ElijahH452 that fellH5307 from him, and wentH7725 backH7725, and stoodH5975 by the bankH8193 of JordanH3383.
And he tookH3947 the mantleH155 of ElijahH452 that fellH5307 from him, and smoteH5221 the watersH4325, and saidH559, WhereH834 is the LORDH3068, the GodH430 of ElijahH452? and when he also had smittenH5221 the watersH4325, they were dividedH2673 hither and thither: and ElishaH477 went over.
And when the sonsH1121 of the prophetsH5030 whichH834 were at JerichoH3405 over againstH5921 him sawH7200 him, they saidH559, The spiritH7307 of ElijahH452 doth restH5117 on ElishaH477. And they cameH935 to meetH7125 him, and bowedH7812 themselvesH7812 to the groundH776 beforeH5048 him.
