Context of Acts 3:6
4Peter looked directly at him (as did John) and said, “Look at us!” 5So the lame man paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them. But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, stand up and walk!” 7Then Peter took hold of him by the right hand and raised him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were made strong. 8He jumped up, stood and began walking around, and he entered the temple courts with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

- Adam Clarke Bible Commentary · v. 6Silver and gold have I none - Though it was customary for all those who entered the temple to carry some money with them, for the purposes mentioned above, yet so poor were the apostles that their had nothing to give, either to the sacred treasury, or to the distressed. The popish writers are very dexterous at forming analogies between St. Peter and the pope; but it is worthy of note that they have not attempted any here. He immediately adds that it was derived solely from the Lord Jesus Christ. In…Read the comment
