Titus 1:5-9
5For this reason I left you in 1Crete, that you would set in order what remains and 2appoint 3elders in every city as I directed you, 6namely, 4if any man is above reproach, the 5husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of 6dissipation or 7rebellion. 7For the 89overseer must be above reproach as 10God’s steward, not 11self-willed, not quick-tempered, not 12addicted to wine, not pugnacious, 13not fond of sordid gain, 8but 14hospitable, 15loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, 916holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in 17sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.
