5As the arkאֲר֤וֹן'a.RonH727of the covenantבְּרִית־be.rit-H1285of the Lordיְהוָה֙Yah.wehH3068cameכְּב֨וֹאke.Vo'H935into the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֔הha.ma.cha.NehH4264,allכָל־khol-H3605Israelיִשְׂרָאֵ֖לYis.ra.'ElH3478shoutedוַיָּרִ֥עוּvai.ya.Ri.'uH7321with a greatגְדוֹלָ֑הge.do.LahH1419shoutתְּרוּעָ֣הte.ru.'AhH8643,so that the earthהָאָֽרֶץ׃ha.'A.retzH776resoundedוַתֵּהֹ֖םva.te.HomH1949.

6When the Philistinesפְלִשְׁתִּים֙fe.lish.TimH6430heardוַיִּשְׁמְע֤וּvai.yish.me.'UH8085the noiseק֣וֹלKolH6963of the shoutהַתְּרוּעָ֔הha.te.ru.'AhH8643,they saidוַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּvai.Yo.me.RuH559, “Whatמֶ֠הmehH4100doesthe noiseק֣וֹלKolH6963of thisH2088greatהַגְּדוֹלָ֛הha.ge.do.LahH1419shoutהַתְּרוּעָ֧הha.te.ru.'AhH8643in the campבְּמַחֲנֵ֣הbe.ma.cha.NehH4264of the Hebrewsהָעִבְרִ֑יםha.'iv.RimH5680mean?”Then they understoodוַיֵּ֣דְע֔וּvai.Ye.de.'UH3045that the arkאֲר֣וֹן'a.RonH727of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068had comeבָּ֖אba'H935into the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃Ha.ma.cha.NehH4264.

7The Philistinesהַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםha.pe.lish.TimH6430were afraidוַיִּֽרְאוּ֙vai.yir.'UH3372,for they saidאָמְר֔וּ'a.me.RuH559, “Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430has comeבָּ֥אba'H935into the campהַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑הha.ma.cha.NehH4264.”And they saidוַיֹּאמְרוּ֙vai.yo.me.RuH559, “Woeא֣וֹי'oH188to us! For nothingלֹ֥אlo'H3808like thisH2088has happenedהָיְתָ֛הha.ye.TahH1961beforeשִׁלְשֹֽׁם׃shil.ShomH8543 H8032.

8Woeא֣וֹי'oH188to us! Whoמִ֣יmiH4310shall deliverיַצִּילֵ֔נוּya.tzi.Le.nuH5337us from the handמִיַּ֛דmi.YadH3027of theseהָאֵ֑לֶּהha.'E.lehH428mightyהָאַדִּירִ֖יםha.'a.di.RimH117godsהָאֱלֹהִ֥יםha.'E.lo.HimH430?Theseאֵ֧לֶּה'E.lehH428are the godsהָאֱלֹהִ֗יםha.'E.lo.HimH430who smoteהַמַּכִּ֧יםha.ma.KimH5221the Egyptiansמִצְרַ֛יִםmitz.Ra.yimH4714with allבְּכָל־be.kholH3605kinds ofplaguesמַכָּ֖הma.KahH4347in the wildernessבַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ba.mid.BarH4057.

9TakeH2388courageH2388and be menH376,O Philistinesפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔יםpe.lish.TimH6430,orפֶּ֚ןpenH6435you will becomeH5647slavesH5647to the Hebrewsלָעִבְרִ֔יםla.'iv.RimH5680,as they have beenH5647slavesH5647to you; therefore, be menH376and fightוְנִלְחַמְתֶּֽם׃ve.nil.cham.TemH3898.”
