2When you goבְּלֶכְתְּךָ֤be.lekh.te.KhaH1980from me todayהַיּוֹם֙hai.yOmH3117,then you will findוּמָצָאתָ֩u.ma.tza.TaH4672twoשְׁנֵ֨יshe.NeiH8147menH376closeעִם־'im-H5973toRachel’sרָחֵ֛לra.ChelH7354tombקְבֻרַ֥תke.vu.RatH6900in the territoryבִּגְב֥וּלbig.VulH1366of Benjaminבִּנְיָמִ֖ןbin.ya.MinH1144at Zelzahבְּצֶלְצַ֑חbe.tzel.TzachH6766;and they will sayוְאָמְר֣וּve.'a.me.RuH559to you, ‘The donkeysהָאֲתֹנוֹת֙ha.'a.to.nOtH860whichאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834you wentהָלַ֣כְתָּha.Lakh.taH1980to lookלְבַקֵּ֔שׁle.va.KeshH1245for have been foundנִמְצְא֤וּnim.tze.'UH4672.Now beholdוְהִנֵּ֨הve.hi.NehH2009,your fatherאָבִ֙יךָ֙'a.Vi.khaH1hasceasedנָטַ֤שׁna.TashH5203to be concernedדִּבְרֵ֣יdiv.ReiH1697about the donkeysהָאֲתֹנ֔וֹתha.'a.to.NotH860and is anxiousוְדָאַ֤גve.da.'AgH1672for you, sayingלֵאמֹ֔רle.MorH559, “Whatמָ֥הmahH4100shall I doאֶעֱשֶׂ֖ה'e.'e.SehH6213about my sonלִבְנִֽי׃liv.NiH1121?”’

3Then you will goוְחָלַפְתָּ֨ve.cha.laf.TaH2498on furtherוָהָ֗לְאָהva.Hal.'ahH1973from thereמִשָּׁ֜םmi.ShamH8033,and you will comeוּבָ֙אתָ֙u.Va.taH935as farעַד־'ad-H5704as theoakאֵל֣וֹן'e.LonH436of Taborתָּב֔וֹרta.VorH8396,and thereשָּׁם֙shamH8033threeשְׁלֹשָׁ֣הshe.lo.ShahH7969menH376goingעֹלִ֥ים'o.LimH5927upto Godהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430at BethelH1008will meetוּמְצָא֤וּךָu.me.tza.'U.khaH4672you, oneאֶחָ֞ד'e.ChadH259carryingנֹשֵׂ֣א׀no.Se'H5375threeשְׁלֹשָׁ֣הshe.lo.ShahH7969youngH1423goatsH1423,anotherוְאֶחָד֙ve.'e.ChadH259carryingנֹשֵׂ֗אno.Se'H5375threeשְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙she.Lo.shetH7969loavesכִּכְּר֣וֹתki.ke.RotH3603of breadלֶ֔חֶםLe.chemH3899,and anotherוְאֶחָ֥דve.'e.ChadH259carryingנֹשֵׂ֖אno.Se'H5375a jugנֵֽבֶל־ne.vel-H5035of wineיָֽיִן׃Ya.yinH3196;

4and they will greetוְשָׁאֲל֥וּ לְשָׁל֑וֹםve.sha.'a.Lu le.sha.LomH7592 H7965you and giveוְנָתְנ֤וּve.na.te.NuH5414you twoשְׁתֵּי־she.tei-H8147loavesof breadלֶ֔חֶםLe.chemH3899,which you will acceptוְלָקַחְתָּ֖ve.la.kach.TaH3947from their handמִיָּדָֽם׃mi.ya.DamH3027.

5Afterwardאַ֣חַר כֵּ֗ן'A.char KenH310 H3651you will comeתָּבוֹא֙ta.Vo'H935tothe hillH1389of Godהָאֱלֹהִ֔יםha.'E.lo.HimH430whereאֲשֶׁר־ שָׁ֖ם'a.Sher- shamH834 H8033the Philistineפְלִשְׁתִּ֑יםfe.lish.TimH6430garrisonנְצִבֵ֣יne.tzi.VeiH5333is; and it shall be as soon as you have comeכְבֹאֲךָ֨khe.vo.'a.KhaH935thereשָׁ֜םshamH8033to the cityהָעִ֗ירha.'IrH5892,that you will meetוּפָגַעְתָּ֞u.fa.ga'.TaH6293a groupחֶ֤בֶלChe.velH2256of prophetsנְבִיאִים֙ne.vi.'ImH5030comingH3381downיֹרְדִ֣יםyo.re.DimH3381from the highמֵֽהַבָּמָ֔הme.ha.ba.MahH1116placeH1116with harpנֵ֤בֶלNe.velH5035,tambourineוְתֹף֙ve.TofH8596,fluteוְחָלִ֣ילve.cha.LilH2485,and a lyreוְכִנּ֔וֹרve.khi.NorH3658beforeוְלִפְנֵיהֶ֞םve.lif.nei.HemH6440them, andthey will be prophesyingמִֽתְנַבְּאִֽים׃Mit.na.be.'ImH5012.

6Thenthe Spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of the Lordיְהוָ֔הYah.wehH3068will comeH6743upon you mightilyH6743, andyou shall prophesyוְהִתְנַבִּ֖יתָve.hit.na.Bi.taH5012with them and be changedוְנֶהְפַּכְתָּ֖ve.neh.pakh.TaH2015into anotherאַחֵֽר׃'a.CherH312manלְאִ֥ישׁle.'IshH376.

7It shall be whenH3588theseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428signsהָאֹת֥וֹתha.'o.TotH226comeתָבֹ֛אנָהte.vo.'ei.nahH935to you,doעֲשֵׂ֤ה'a.SehH6213for yourself whatאֲשֶׁ֣ר'a.SherH834the occasionיָדֶ֔ךָya.De.khaH3027requiresתִּמְצָ֣אtim.Tza'H4672, forGodהָאֱלֹהִ֖יםha.'E.lo.HimH430is with you.

8Andyou shall goוְיָרַדְתָּ֣ve.ya.rad.TaH3381downH3381beforeלְפָנַי֮le.fa.NaiH6440me to Gilgalהַגִּלְגָּל֒ha.gil.GalH1537;and beholdוְהִנֵּ֤הve.hi.NehH2009,I will comeיֹרֵ֣דyo.RedH3381downH3381to you to offerלְהַעֲל֣וֹתle.ha.'a.LotH5927burntעֹל֔וֹתo.LotH5930offeringsH5930andsacrificeלִזְבֹּ֖חַliz.Bo.achH2076peaceשְׁלָמִ֑יםshe.la.MimH8002offeringsH8002.You shall waitתּוֹחֵל֙to.ChelH3176sevenשִׁבְעַ֨תshiv.'AtH7651daysיָמִ֤יםya.MimH3117untilעַד־'ad-H5704I comeבּוֹאִ֣יbo.'IH935to you and showוְהוֹדַעְתִּ֣יve.ho.da'.TiH3045you whatאֲשֶׁ֥ר'a.SherH834you should doתַּעֲשֶֽׂה׃ta.'a.SehH6213.”

9Then it happenedוְהָיָ֗הve.ha.YahH1961when he turnedכְּהַפְנֹת֤וֹke.haf.no.ToH6437his backשִׁכְמוֹ֙shikh.MoH7926to leaveלָלֶ֙כֶת֙ מֵעִ֣םla.Le.khet me.'ImH1980 H4480 H5973Samuelשְׁמוּאֵ֔לshe.mu.'ElH8050,Godאֱלֹהִ֖ים'E.lo.HimH430changedוַיַּהֲפָךְ־vai.ya.ha.fokh-H2015his heartלֵ֣בlevH3820;and allכָּל־kol-H3605thoseהָאֵ֖לֶּהha.'E.lehH428signsהָאֹת֥וֹתha.'o.TotH226cameוַיָּבֹ֛אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935about on that dayבַּיּ֥וֹםbai.YomH3117.

10When they cameוַיָּבֹ֤אוּvai.ya.Vo.'uH935tothe hillH1389thereשָׁם֙shamH8033,beholdוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009,a groupחֶֽבֶל־che.vel-H2256of prophetsנְבִאִ֖יםne.vi.'ImH5030metלִקְרָאת֑וֹlik.ra.ToH7122him; and the Spiritר֣וּחַRu.achH7307of Godאֱלֹהִ֔ים'E.lo.HimH430cameH6743upon him mightilyH6743,so that he prophesiedוַיִּתְנַבֵּ֖אvai.yit.na.Be'H5012amongבְּתוֹכָֽם׃be.to.KhamH8432them.

11It cameוַיְהִ֗יvay.HiH1961about, when allכָּל־kol-H3605who knewיֽוֹדְעוֹ֙yod.'OH3045him previouslyמֵאִתְּמ֣וֹל שִׁלְשׁ֔וֹםme.'i.te.Mol shil.ShomH4480 H8032 H865sawוַיִּרְא֕וּvai.yir.'UH7200that he prophesiedנִבָּ֑אni.Ba'H5012nowוְהִנֵּ֥הve.hi.NehH2009with the prophetsנְבִאִ֖יםne.vi.'ImH5030,that the peopleהָעָ֜םha.'AmH5971saidוַיֹּ֨אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to oneאִ֣ישׁ'ishH376anotherרֵעֵ֗הוּre.'E.huH7453, “Whatמַה־mah-H4100has happenedהָיָ֣הha.YahH1961to the sonלְבֶן־le.ven-H1121of Kishקִ֔ישׁKishH7027?Is Saulשָׁא֖וּלsha.'UlH7586alsoהֲגַ֥םha.GamH1571among the prophetsבַּנְּבִיאִֽים׃ba.ne.vi.'ImH5030?”

12A manאִ֥ישׁ'ishH376thereמִשָּׁ֛םmi.ShamH4480 H8033saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Now, whoוּמִ֣יu.MiH4310is their fatherאֲבִיהֶ֑ם'a.vi.HemH1?”Thereforeעַל־ כֵּן֙'al- kenH5921 H3651it becameהָיְתָ֣הha.ye.TahH1961a proverbלְמָשָׁ֔לle.ma.ShalH4912: “Is Saulשָׁא֖וּלsha.'UlH7586alsoהֲגַ֥םha.GamH1571among the prophetsבַּנְּבִאִֽים׃ba.ne.vi.'ImH5030?”

13When he had finishedוַיְכַל֙vay.KhalH3615prophesyingמֵֽהִתְנַבּ֔וֹתme.hit.na.BotH5012,he cameוַיָּבֹ֖אvai.ya.Vo'H935to the highהַבָּמָֽה׃ha.ba.MahH1116placeH1116.

14NowSaul’sשָׁא֥וּלsha.'UlH7586uncleדּ֨וֹדDodH1730saidוַיֹּאמֶר֩vai.yo.MerH559to him and his servantנַעֲר֖וֹna.'a.RoH5288, “Whereאָ֣ן'anH575did you goהֲלַכְתֶּ֑םha.lakh.TemH1980?”And he saidוַיֹּ֕אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “To lookלְבַקֵּשׁ֙le.va.KeshH1245for the donkeysהָ֣אֲתֹנ֔וֹתha.'a.to.NotH860.When we sawוַנִּרְאֶ֣הva.nir.'EhH7200that they could not be foundאַ֔יִן'A.yinH369,we wentוַנָּב֖וֹאva.na.Vo'H935to Samuelשְׁמוּאֵֽל׃she.mu.'ElH8050.”

15Saul’sשָׁא֑וּלsha.'UlH7586uncleדּ֣וֹדDodH1730saidוַיֹּ֖אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559, “Pleaseנָּ֣אna'H4994tellהַגִּֽידָה־ha.gi.dah-H5046me whatמָֽה־mah-H4100Samuelשְׁמוּאֵֽל׃she.mu.'ElH8050saidאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559to you.”

16So Saulשָׁאוּל֙sha.'UlH7586saidוַיֹּ֤אמֶרvai.Yo.merH559to his uncleדּוֹד֔וֹdo.DoH1730, “He toldהַגֵּ֤דha.GedH5046us plainlyהִגִּיד֙hi.GidH5046that the donkeysהָאֲתֹנ֑וֹתha.'a.to.NotH860had been foundנִמְצְא֖וּnim.tze.'UH4672.”But he did not tellהִגִּ֣ידhi.GidH5046him about the matterדְּבַ֤רde.VarH1697of the kingdomהַמְּלוּכָה֙ha.me.lu.KhahH4410whichאֲשֶׁ֖ר'a.SherH834Samuelשְׁמוּאֵֽל׃ פshe.mu.'ElH8050had mentionedאָמַ֥ר'a.MarH559.
