Matthew 9:3-8
3And some of the scribes said 1to themselves, “This fellow 2blasphemes.” 4And Jesus 3knowing their thoughts said, “Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5Which is easier, to say, ‘4Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk’? 6But so that you may know that 5the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”--then He said to the 6paralytic, “Get up, pick up your bed and go home.” 7And he got up and 7went home. 8But when the crowds saw this, they were 8awestruck, and 9glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
