Matthew 16:22-28

22Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “1God forbid it, Lord! This shall never 2happen to You.” 23But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, 3Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on 4God’s interests, but man’s.”

24Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and 5take up his cross and follow Me. 25For 6whoever wishes to save his 7life will lose it; but whoever loses his 8life for My sake will find it. 26For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27For the 9Son of Man 10is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and 11will then 12repay every man according to his 13deeds.

28“Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the 14Son of Man 15coming in His kingdom.”
