Jude 1:4-18
For certain persons have 1crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand 23marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn 4the grace of our God into 5licentiousness and 6deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Now I desire to 7remind you, though 8you know all things once for all, that 9the Lord, 10after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, 11subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. 6And 12angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has 13kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, 7just as 14Sodom and Gomorrah and the 15cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and 16went after 17strange flesh, are exhibited as an 1819example in undergoing the 20punishment of eternal fire.
Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, 21defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile 22angelic majesties. 9But 23Michael 24the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about 25the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, “26The Lord rebuke you!” 10But 27these men revile the things which they do not understand; and 28the things which they know by instinct, 29like unreasoning animals, by these things they are 30destroyed. 11Woe to them! For they have gone 31the way of Cain, and for pay 32they have rushed headlong into 33the error of Balaam, and 34perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12These are the men who are 35hidden reefs 36in your love feasts when they feast with you 37without fear, caring for themselves; 38clouds without water, 39carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, 40doubly dead, 41uprooted; 1342wild waves of the sea, casting up 43their own 44shame like foam; wandering stars, 45for whom the 46black darkness has been reserved forever.
It was also about these men that 47Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, “48Behold, the Lord came with 49many thousands of His holy ones, 1550to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which 51ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” 16These are 52grumblers, finding fault, 53following after their own lusts; 54they speak 55arrogantly, flattering people 56for the sake of gaining an advantage.
But you, 57beloved, 58ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by 59the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18that they were saying to you, “60In the last time there will be mockers, 61following after their own ungodly lusts.”
