John 8:41-44

41You are doing the deeds of 1your father.” They said to Him, “We were not born of fornication; 2we have one Father: God.”

42Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, 3you would love Me, 4for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have 5not even come on My own initiative, but 67He sent Me.

43Why do you not understand 89what I am saying? It is because you cannot 10hear My word.

4411You are of 12your father the devil, and 13you want to do the desires of your father. 14He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because 15there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks 16a lie, he 17speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of 18lies.
