John 13:31-38

31Therefore when he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now 1is 2the Son of Man 3glorified, and 4God 5is glorified in Him; 32 6if God is glorified in Him, 7God will also glorify Him in Himself, and will glorify Him immediately. 33 8Little children, I am with you 9a little while longer. 10You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’ 34A 11new commandment I give to you, 12that you love one another, 13even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 14By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

36Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, where are You going?” Jesus answered, “15Where I go, you cannot follow Me now; but 16you will follow later.” 37Peter said to Him, “Lord, why can I not follow You right now? 17I will lay down my life for You.” 38Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for Me? Truly, truly, I say to you, 18a rooster will not crow until you deny Me three times.
