Isaiah 8:7-10
7Now therefore, behold, the Lord is about to bring on them the 1strong and abundant waters of the 23Euphrates, Even the 4king of Assyria and all his glory; And it will 5rise up over all its channels and go over all its banks.8Then 6it will sweep on into Judah, it will overflow and pass through, It will 7reach even to the neck; And the spread of its wings will 8fill the breadth of 9your land, O 10Immanuel.
9“11Be broken, O peoples, and be 1213shattered; And give ear, all remote places of the earth. Gird yourselves, yet be 14shattered; Gird yourselves, yet be 15shattered.1016Devise a plan, but it will be thwarted; State a 17proposal, but 18it will not stand, For 1920God is with us.”
