Isaiah 7:10-17

10Then the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, 11“Ask a 1sign for yourself from the Lord your God; 2make it deep as Sheol or high as 3heaven.” 12But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord!” 13Then he said, “Listen now, O 4house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will 5try the patience of 6my God as well? 14Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, 7a 8virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name 910Immanuel. 15He will eat 11curds and honey 12at the time He knows enough to refuse evil and choose good. 1613For before the boy will know enough to refuse evil and choose good, 14the land whose two kings you dread will be forsaken. 17The Lord will bring on you, on your people, and on your father’s house such days as have never come since the day that 15Ephraim separated from Judah, the 16king of Assyria.”
