Isaiah 38:14-19

141Like a swallow, like a crane, so I twitter; I 2moan like a dove; My 3eyes look wistfully to the heights; O Lord, I am oppressed, be my 4security.

15“5What shall I say? 6For He has spoken to me, and He Himself has done it; I will 7wander about all my years because of the 8bitterness of my soul.16O Lord, 9by these things men live, And in all these is the life of my spirit; 1011O restore me to health and 12let me live!17Lo, for my own welfare I had great bitterness; It is You who has 1314kept my soul from the pit of 15nothingness, For You have 16cast all my sins behind Your back.18For 17Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; Those who go down 18to the pit cannot hope for Your faithfulness.19It is the 19living who give thanks to You, as I do today; A 20father tells his sons about Your faithfulness.
