Hebrews 9:9-15

9which is a symbol for the present time. Accordingly 1both gifts and sacrifices are offered which 2cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience, 10since they relate only to 3food and 4drink and various 5washings, 6regulations for the 7body imposed until 8a time of reformation.

11But when Christ appeared as a 9high priest of the 10good things 11to come, He entered through 12the greater and more perfect 13tabernacle, 14not made with hands, that is to say, 15not of this creation; 12and not through 16the blood of goats and calves, but 17through His own blood, He 18entered the holy place 19once for all, 20having obtained 21eternal redemption. 13For if 22the blood of goats and bulls and 23the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the 24cleansing of the flesh, 14how much more will 25the blood of Christ, who through 2627the eternal Spirit 28offered Himself without blemish to God, 29cleanse 30your conscience from 31dead works to serve 32the living God?

15For this reason 33He is the 34mediator of a 35new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been 36called may 37receive the promise of 38the eternal inheritance.
