Hebrews 9:23-28

23Therefore it was necessary for the 1copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed with these, but 2the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24For Christ 3did not enter a holy place made with hands, a mere copy of 4the true one, but into 5heaven itself, now 6to appear in the presence of God for us;

25nor was it that He would offer Himself often, as 7the high priest enters 8the holy place 9year by year with blood that is not his own.

26Otherwise, He would have needed to suffer often since 10the foundation of the world; but now 11once at 12the consummation of the ages He has been 13manifested to put away sin 14 15by the sacrifice of Himself.

27And inasmuch as 16it is 17appointed for men to die once and after this 18comes judgment,

28so Christ also, having been 19offered once to 20bear the sins of many, will appear 21a second time for 22salvation 23without reference to sin, to those who 24eagerly await Him.
